That's not Honeybadger, that's me. But yeah, heel-toe in these cars is tricky on the street but I find it perfect for when you're on track. I still mess up a few shifts here and there but when you hit it right, it feels so good!As someone already said, the brake and gas are setup for track. Feel free to watch the great honeybadger demonstrate the work of art.
This is exactly what I was talking about. Perfectly done. Don't know why they call it heel and toe because novices literally think that is what they mean.As someone already said, the brake and gas are setup for track. Feel free to watch the great raiderjatt demonstrate the work of art.
I initially thought that maybe the phrase was coined in the days before power assist brakes such that you literally had to use your whole forefoot to apply enough brake pressure and could only operate the throttle with your heel, but Wikipedia had something different to say:This is exactly what I was talking about. Perfectly done. Don't know why they call it heel and toe because novices literally think that is what they mean.
I would recommend going out to an area where you can get on the brakes hard. I've been heel toeing for a few years now and I still find it quite hard to heel toe on the street... just not hitting the brake hard enough to get the gas pedal in range. Could also depend on the flexibility for rotating of your foot, I'm not very flexible so unless I am hard on the brake (like I typically am on the track), yeah... it's not an easy task on the street, which makes it hard to practice. Once you get the hang of it... it is a glorious feeling on track.I'm a heel and toe noob, but even being a beginner practicing, I agree with people saying the gas pedal a little way too low from brake. Even with the side of my foot, I'm having a hard time blipping.
Again, maybe I need to practice more and but it sure is a little frustrating.
J...yes the steeda sits on top of the stock pedal...no issue at all. Thanks everyone; I ordered the steeda gas pedal as it was only $33; I don’t know if I will be able to attach it over the top of the original pedal which will raise the height by just the thickness of the pedal ?
