Can you do a video to show what the squeak sounds like?

Springs don't normally squeak. The squeak can be mistaken for a metal to metal interference or really dried out bushing .... I'd guess its a sway bar/end link or strut mount thats not properly tightened.

I'll get a video in the morning.

Yeah obviously the springs themselves aren't squeaking. I just payed someone to reinstall everything and they assured me everything was properly clocked and tightened. Including the sway bar end links. He said he even lubricated them.

I don't know. Part of my frustration is relying on other people that supposedly know what they are doing. Seems like it is extremely hard to find anyone who knows wtf they are actually doing with these cars.

Incompetence everywhere. These are simple cars. People don't care or they're high all the time plus distracted with device alerts on the $BN deals that can't wait.

I just had my strut swap totally messed up that I'm gonna tear it down and redo myself the time wasted to chase it is worth more than If I do it my self plus I'll take pics and get my install fee back.

I feel your pain, @AZ_Ryan . I do all my own work as far as I'm able, and built a decent shop so I can. As a retired Aircraft Mechanic, my standards are set pretty high and not many people can live up to it.

I would enjoy getting your car in my shop and trying to isolate the issue, too bad you're so far.

Good luck getting after it... use the resource TJ gave you.

Ok here is a video from this morning. You can hear the squeak at the beginning and end of the video.

The sound predominantly from the left at 0 sec?
0 seconds? It's really all in the last 10 seconds of the video after I change to the senter lane. It does seem predominantly on the drivers side, but both make noise. I apologize for the audio quality as I used my phone. If you use ear buds it's pretty clear.

It is easy to hear once you heard it in the real life, but for me, listening with closed headphones in a silent environment, I am not able to detect it. Maybe someone with better ears can. It is just to help you manage the expectation.

Manage the expectation? You're clearly missing it. No idea how as it's clear as day. It's a chirp every time it hits a bump.

My money is on the camber plates/top mounts. That's some pretty good clunking.

My audio quality is not that great, but I bet it's the camber plates. If the strut shaft nut was loose at any time it can quickly destroy the upper bearing.

Thanks for the feedback. The strut nuts were loose until the recent reinstall. It wouldn't surprise me if that was it.

That will do it, just think of the impact from the looseness.

Honestly I don't understand how that works exactly. Any further explanation would be great. I'm not sure what the function of those bearings ever is.

Anyone else having front end squeaking after installing Steeda springs?

Mine started making noise several weeks ago with the lower temps. It's worse on cold mornings but it's never completely gone away even on warm days.

I had a reputable mechanic do a reinstall this weekend to made sure the seats were clocked correctly, the camber plates were correctly installed, and and everything was torqued to spec. They also lubricated the sway bar bushings. Unfortunately there was no change what so ever on my morning drive today.

It this a common issue with the Steeda Springs because the car sits lower and the struts are more compressed?
Was an impact used on strut shaft nut?

I recently had two brand new strut bearings ruined by an impact wielding imbecile who crushed the bearing seat into the ball bearings.

Too me 3 hrs triple checking everything then took newly assembled strut off compressed the spring to discover ruined bearing.

If an impact was used at all it's highly likely parts were damaged.
