So I am gonna drop my Ecoboost. Nothing drastic. Lookind at the Steeda 555-8212 springs. Steeda claims 1 1/8 inch front and 1 rear. Yet all the pictures I see seem that the front drops less than an inch and the rear more than an inch. This is perfect in my situation. Now the questions

Has anyone used these drop springs?
Did the drop indeed drop the rear more than the front?
Any before and after pics?
Was an alignment "absolutely needed" after the drop?

Thanks for any info that can be shared

Maybe I should have added a bit more info. My car is a 2018 Ecoboost. I never track the car it is a daily driver only. I do occasionally drive a bit spirited but mostly just plain old driving. I have recently upgraded my tires to Michelin AS3+. 255/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear. The fronts are the same size as stock. The rears are slightly shorter than stock which makes the gap ever so slightly larger. Hence why the lower rear would be a good thing in my case. Hope this clears some thing up

I have the Steeda pro struts non adjustable, and Steeda progressive springs/adjustable camber plates. and its phenominal. also have the sway bars, figure if im doing it, do those too. but anyway.

you'll see the photos where I did the drop.-- some photos you'll see the gap get larger at the end, thats because I went from 255/40/19's to 285/35/19's (black wheels was 255, the silver wheels are 285)

the rear is a little deeper on mine, I have a 40lb subwoofer, and a lot of dynamatt, easily 100lbs on the rear. not big deal. mooarrr traction

So I ended up ordering the springs and I installed them today. Took about 3 hours working by myself and taking breaks whenever I felt like it. The rears were a breeze after dealing with the fronts. So far it seems that I have roughly 1/2" drop in front and about 3/4" in rear. Waiting to see if any settling occurs. The car looks way better than before but a bit more drop would be nice. The ride so far is damn close to factory. I haven't driven my normal route to work yet but we shall see. Overall I am pleased. Let me post pictures before an after. In a few

Still hoping for a little more drop. Do the springs settle more as miles are driven?

Most springs settle with some miles on them. I have the Steeda progressives (GT) as well and they settled a good bit.

Good to know. Another 1/4 to 1/2 inch on each corner would be welcome

I'd say give it a few days and drive it and they will settle a bit more. Did you also install the Steeda bumpstops out trim your stock ones?

Trimmed the stock ones. Easy enough. I haven't addressed any alignment yet. Before the drop I bought a digital angle gauge and used a straight edge on the tires to get before specs. After the drop I measured again and it seems that the springs added roughly -0.3 degrees to the specs. Not bad at all. I am on vacation in 2 weeks so I will attempt to get my angles back to where they were. I did buy camber bolts and they should get back the -0.3 degrees rather easily. Just have to play with the rear adjustment a little
