I'll take a look, but I don't see where they could be contacting. How far down the exhaust would false knock be caused by exhaust? The whole length?

could be a combo, temp, fuel, etc..

the only way to know 100% is to log the car.

that way you can compare logs from before and after

see if the car is pulling timing, knocking, iats', etc...

tons of factors

I mean the O2 sensors hitting the car. That, or the exhaust hitting sway bars, etc can cause the knock sensors to pick up the sound as detonation. I would think the closer it is to the headers, the easier it would be for the sensors to read knock.

Mine went 11.90s with no headers , so you better go mid 11s with headers.. That what I was hoping for is mid 11s with the headers ..After I added the headers and custom tune I now have a 12.25 car ...:(
Damn that's crazy!!!! I would keep trying to figure out the issue before you give up man. That's a lot of money to throw away but I realize you feel like you are chasing a gremlin. Also what if you end up putting your stock manifolds back on and still have the issue?? Something is obviously wrong

Did a lot of reading over the last fews days .. One item that was listed in this thread was ( exhaust would false knock be caused by exhaust hitting something ) I check my exhaust system after I saw that post and nothing is hitting , every part of the exhaust has plenty of clearance ... But it was worth checking just to make sure ..

I saw a post about resetting the ( Kam ) .. Ok my SCT can do that .. So I did that also ..

Another member said something about doing the Crank sensor relearn ..I had done that 3 times already and one of the tuners that worked on my car also checked it and said it was ok ... But I went ahead and reset it again just in case ( It took four try's to get it to work ) ... I'm looking for anything that might cause this car to be locked at 14.1 AFR ...

It's very hard to find out info on the 2015 mustang , there is just not that much info out there ..But I did find some posts about the crank relearn , but they are for the 2014 and older cars ..It seems also very hard to pry any info out of the tuners , it's like they don't know or don't want to tell like it's some kind of top secret CIA plot ...

So after playing with my car for and hour or so with the SCT programmer I think I might have found something ..Just what I found I can't be sure ..But heading to the gym to work out tonight I noticed my AFR is no longer stuck at 14.1 on the dash gauge .. So I did a little test ... 5 gear at 40 MPH and put the throttle on the floor and the AFRs dropped right to 11.8 .. Hummm that's different , so something has changed since my dyno pull ...I tried it in 4th and 40 and same drop to 11.8 .. Hard to find a place around here to go WOT without going to jail and losing your car ..But I did find a empty place where I could go WOT in first gear and it did drop to 11.8 AFR as soon as I slammed the peddle .. I don't know what I did but it seems not to be stuck at 14.1 on my dash gauge like it was on my last dyno run ..

So with the map that is in the car now ( same map as my last dyno run ) I'm heading back down to the dyno and try it again .. At least now I don't have to worry that the car is too lean like the last dyno pull .. If I see somewhere around 430 HP i'll be pretty happy and call it a day .. Got my fingers crossed ...

Like I said, 11.8 a/f at wot.

I'm guessing the crank relearn was finally done properly, hopefully no damage was done while it was so lean.

I hope it didn't do any damage either .. Car seems to run ok , no smoke , knocking or piston rattle .. But you never know .. If it doesn't do well this time on the dyno I'll do a leak down test just to make sure ..

I only made two passes on the car with it not running good but that was before I replaced the stock clutch , so the crank sensor should have been fine .. It only had the one dyno pull after the clutch replacement ... After the clutch install I drove it very easy breaking in the new clutch ..Exdey wanted 500 mile break in on the clutch.. I never went WOT with the car until I put it on the dyno .. I just may have dodged a bullet ... I hope ...

I'm not sure it was the crank sensor that caused the problem , but if it was the cause I'll be a little more than pissed off at the Tuner for telling me it was ok .
