Where are the knock sensors on these cars?
I mean the O2 sensors hitting the car. That, or the exhaust hitting sway bars, etc can cause the knock sensors to pick up the sound as detonation. I would think the closer it is to the headers, the easier it would be for the sensors to read knock.I'll take a look, but I don't see where they could be contacting. How far down the exhaust would false knock be caused by exhaust? The whole length?
Damn that's crazy!!!! I would keep trying to figure out the issue before you give up man. That's a lot of money to throw away but I realize you feel like you are chasing a gremlin. Also what if you end up putting your stock manifolds back on and still have the issue?? Something is obviously wrongMine went 11.90s with no headers , so you better go mid 11s with headers.. That what I was hoping for is mid 11s with the headers ..After I added the headers and custom tune I now have a 12.25 car ...:(
Very close DA and the runs where done a few weeks apart same track .. Summer in FL is a killer ..same conditions both times at track? temp, humidity, waiting time in staging, etc etc
Pre header as much as 91 MPH .. Now with headers 87 or so ..What was your mph in the 8th? I'm at 89+ to give u reference
Thanks ,, I need all the luck I can get !!!Good luck man!!!

I hope it didn't do any damage either .. Car seems to run ok , no smoke , knocking or piston rattle .. But you never know .. If it doesn't do well this time on the dyno I'll do a leak down test just to make sure ..Like I said, 11.8 a/f at wot.
I'm guessing the crank relearn was finally done properly, hopefully no damage was done while it was so lean.
