^^^ Ceramic pads produce less brake dust, that's one main reason people use them, and the reason you also lose some braking performance.

I took my EB PP in for brake squeling and the service department said there was a recall or something for my brakes. They replaced my whole brake system and now there is no squel

Mine is currently at the dealer to get my dash replaced and I asked about the brake squeal too. Said the TSB was only for the front brakes. So they have new pads and rotors for the front on order

Mine has been squeaking since new but only on like the first 4 or 5 stops. I pull out of my drive way backing up and it does it pull froward to the mail box second stop terrible two stop signs on my road still does it by the stop light its gone. I figured it would stop after a while but at 10,000 miles now getting ready to take it in for the second oil change and hoping the dealer will look at this. At first I thought it was just because it was cold but it has been warm for a while now and is still doing it so I came here to look if anyone else was having the issue wish I would of looked sooner. Sent Jeff a PM. I hate to say it but I don't like taking my car to my local dealer because I didn't buy it from there so they treat me like a second class customer in a lot of cases I take it to a dealer 60 miles away just to avoid having to deal with the local dealer but for something that may take a bit ordering parts and stuff it is just not practical.

EDIT:After reading I am not the only one that has had issues with one dealer. What is sad is that the noise on a 35k car is less annoying than dealing with a service department. I know I am jaded due to a past experience with a Ford Fiesta hoping this issue goes a million times smoother. I almost just buy the rotors and have my local shop change them to avoid the battle of dealing with my ford dealers service dept key word almost.

TSB parts (front pads and rotor so), installed this past week. 6-weeks on back order! I no longer sound like a school bus braking in my driveway. :clap2:

Waiting for my parts to come in. Mine hardly did it at all when new, but has progressively gotten worse, not better. Looking forward to getting this taken care of!

Does anyone know the TSB #? My GT Premium (non PP) squeal every morning, and also squeal (not as loud) when the brakes are warm at slow speeds. My dealer, Towne Ford in Redwood City, CA. will be one that want's to hear it squeal. Which means I have to leave it overnight.

it's going to the dealer tomorrow for the fix, and 1st oil change. can't wait to be able to turn left at slow speeds with no braking and it NOT squeal!!!!!!!!

SanTan Ford in Gilbert, AZ took 10 minutes to verify the issue. Awesome bunch of guys.. no hassle getting this squared away at all.

My new brakes make me very happy. :headbang:

Tim told you it's 15-30. My dealer, Corwin Ford in Nampa, won't even look at the car unless it's making noise at the moment. I have travelled the 15 miles to the dealer 4 times now. I typically get noise on the way there, and on the way home, but so far never when I am on the grounds of Corwin Ford. They have seen the TSB and are not interested in helping until they can hear the problem with their own ears.

In my opinion, this should be a recall, not a TSB. I am being asked to spend hours making repeated trips to the dealer for an admittedly intermittent problem that Ford knows exists, but I am having to play stupid games trying to get the car to perform on demand for a dealer who has no skin in the game and who thinks he can't help because Ford will come down on him if he offers to help without "verifying" this known problem.

I am VERY unhappy about this. Kinda spoils the fun.

Sorry to hear about your stubborn dealership. Have you tired going to another dealership? Or maybe contact Jeff from Ford.

Initially, I got push back from a local dealership. Then Jeff contacted Amber who stepped in and all was good. Took about a month for the parts to come in, but it's replaced and I haven't heard noise since the week I've had new parts.

Good luck to you. I can say that the noise was embarrassing. It's a new car and pulling out of a parking spot, people are checking out your car. Then it makes the noise. Very embarrassing.

Jeff has referred me out to the regional service guy, who can't help until the car is in the dealer's system, and the dealer won't put the car in the system until he hears the noise personally. Catch 22.

I may have to drive the additional miles to the next dealer across the valley and see if they are any more open minded or customer focused.

As I said, this should be a recall. The cars all need fixing and Ford knows it.
