I'm starting to think that my issue is a the panels on the passenger side. On a couple of windy days, when the wind blew in the direction of the passenger side, I can year the rattle (while the car is stationary). My guess is that the panels need to be tighten.
Let me know what solutions...
I see what you're saying. Is the Rocket having issues with his interior?
Would you be able to post more pics of the center console then? I need to be convinced. I'll be in Atlanta late next month. If I have time, maybe I'll stop by your shop to see more models?
This issue has been one of the reason why I haven't done this mod yet. Also, I hate the brightness takes away from the LED of the gills. I love the gills. Wish the lights weren't so bright.
Hello everyone,
What are some options to get rid or or cover up some of the plastic parts interior? Specifically, I'm thinking of the center console and the upper door panels (where you rest your elbow). Those plastic areas really annoy me.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hey Steve,
Can you tell me where you got the material? Did you ordered it online or purchased it at a store? I want to get it at the store instead of online.
Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply. Here is what I tried that could replicate the issue.
I notice that if I coast into a 90 degree turn, the noise emerges during the drive. So, if I take a easy on a turn (break to a reasonable speed into a turn), I don't hear the sound throughout my drive. But if...
And you describe this solution in a little more detail? Or maybe give a pic?
The form that was added, did you do it or did Ford?
Thanks.
FYI, I probably won't get to try any solutions until next week, as that's when I drive on the highway.
Wind noise is a known problem. If it's the one I"m thinking of, there is pin size hole on the panel. Tell Ford and they'll have it fixed. Should be a thread about it on here as well.
I noticed this issue this month. When I'm up to around 60 MPH and above, I hear a rattle on the passenger side. I'm the only one in the car usually, so I can't find out where it's coming from. I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the seat. Might be around the speakers area or even the dash...
Yeah, that's not the noise I'm hearing. I don't know how to check if it's the AB install. Don't know if the person who installed it did it correctly. Then again, I don't know if it is the exhaust that the noise is coming from.
What did you do for them to finally cover?
I've noticed a scratch make on the driver bolster. It's getting pretty bad to where I think it will rip. Isn't something like this covered in bumper to bumper?
