Terrible! You'd be better off buying a cheap torque wrench than paying them to destroy your wheel studs. I've seen studs sheared from that behavior.. not to mention the safety issue.
What part of the valley are you from? I'm an auto-focused engineering student in Gilbert and did subframe stuff / intercooler ages ago. I also like beer.
Hi folks. My clutch pedal recently developed a wiggle left to right.
2015 Base Ecoboost (Job 2)
86,000 miles on the car
removed the clutch assist spring the first week of ownership
LMR pedal extension.
Here's an overview of the issue and some tips that I would have liked to know before...
I have a DVCC that produced very little or no drainage for about 20,000 miles... Until I had the sense to open it up. The inside baffle had unthreaded and dropped down, blocking off the drain valve. The thing was chock full of oil.
I wonder if this has happened to you as well. There's really no...
I'm pretty much satisfied with how this car looks now - all that remains is cleaning up little things.
Cosmetic mods include:
SVE 19x10ET35 rep wheels
285/35r19 Michelin PS4S
Black lugs that came with the wheels
1" drop on Ford Performance springs
Chinesium GT Blade Spoiler knockoff (Raw...
I ran the Mishi FMIC with stock pipes for a couple years before my turbo swap. Any real benefit to running hard charge pipes is splitting hairs to be honest. If you go big turbo down the road, you'll likely end up with new pipes anyway.
Completely and utterly worth it. I learned manual the day I purchased my s550, and I've daily driven it for over three years. I have never once regretted my decision.
Here are some more pics for everyone. 19x10ET35 square, wrapped in 285/35ZR19 Pilot Sport 4S. No rub, perfect fitment with the Ford Street X-Springs. Grip is insane, although I may want to go larger on the rear when I bump up power levels a bit.

The EFR 7163 is specced for ~550hp max, which I wouldn't be comfortable running on a stock block. I imagine they expect you to tune it to what your motor can handle.
This recall affects all of the early GT brakes. I have a '15 EB PP as well and experienced this issue at a few thousand miles. Ford swapped the rotors and pads and I haven't had a chirp since.
Go ahead and take it in.. the noise will get worse!
Your stock tune should let you hit 18psi around 3200-3500. There is a documented issue of charge pipes being loose from the factory. Go ahead and check the connections on your intercooler - you might have to pull the bumper cover for this.
You might not even hear a boost leak because these cars...
Would not recommend this - I ran into a lot of preignition with the COBB Stage 2 and Mishi FMIC. I eventually went back to Stage 1 and I'm waiting to get a custom tune that matches the mods I'll be doing.
With a Mishimoto FMIC, performance pack, and COBB stage 1, I manage 27mpg highway and 22 city. The best I've had on a trip was 29mpg with the tune in the high-boost slot. I've lost a few mpg since installing the intercooler, but that's probably due to it changing the way I drive (I stopped being...
With city driving, I manage about 330 miles. I've gotten over 400 miles of range on long road trips. That's on 91 octane with COBB stage 1, Mishi FMIC, and the Perf Pack.
I would assume it's based on recent mpg calculations. Mine takes a few days of driving differently to update.
My average...
Not a fantastic idea. Giving the turbine more power without modifying the wastegate duty cycle tables means that the throttle body has to start closing to prevent overboost. It's not as fast as the wastegate and if it doesn't respond, there goes your last layer of protection.
Personally I'm...
