I got the TSB fix yesterday morning (new front rotors and pads) and I can't believe how quiet it has been.

I have put over 500 miles on since yesterday morning, and it has been completely silent - even in the situations where it *always* squealed before.

I am still not positive that the problem is solved, time will tell, but I am amazed how much I cringe every time I stop at low speeds. I can feel myself tensing up in anticipation of the noise, and I have to make myself relax.

So far, though, so good.
Glad to hear hope my parts come in soon really tired of sounding like a dump truck
I just got the call from my dealer. Right at 2 weeks from the time they ordered until they came in. I have an appt. first thing in the morning to get rid of the awful squealing!

In the spirit of sharing info: I am having this issue intermittently also, but in the driver's side rear brake and not necessarily when braking.

It started with an grinding sound at very low speeds even when not braking and has now evolved into a squeal at very low speeds, again, not necessarily when braking.

Waiting on getting it into the dealer to get looked at.

Hey gregoz,

When you do take it to the dealer, shoot me a PM and let me know. I'll take a look at options on my end to further assist.

So should I go back to the dealer, because mine still squeak after TSB!! It's annoying.

Are you using the brakes really "softly". Sometimes with new rotors & pads they need to be "bedded in" by some fairly hard braking action.

I do this, too, and am trying to stop. :headbonk:

It's around 500 miles later, and still no squeal here.

Pull the pads out and use a rasp/file to bevel the leading edge about a quarter inch. Trick has worked for years on competitive pads.

I have the same issue, TSB was done on Tuesday and it's back in the shop today for a loud grinding noise. Did you get yours fixed?

You guys are not encouraging me here. Combined with the fact that my squeal seems to be greatly diminished now that our humidity is regularly in the 15% range, I don't think I can duplicate the issue for the dealer. I haven't heard from the brakes in two or three weeks. Yesterday I drove the 35 miles from our house to the Boise airport. Secondary roads, some urban streets, some freeway, and then crawling through a parking lot. Not a peep from the brakes.

I don't know if that is good or bad. I'll bet the sound comes back when the weather changes again, but if the fix isn't a fix I don't want it anyway.
