Love my black wheels. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Black wheels look like crap to me but I'm 60. My 20-year old would disagree, so what do I know? (I know the black wheel fad will go away) (none too soon IMO) (and he likes to borrow my car)(and all his friends like my car) 🤔 I wonder if they all think about how much better it'd look with black stripes and black wheels....

No, if you don't like black wheels that's fine, except like many things in life It's simply one of many color choices these days, whether factory or aftermarket.

My favorites are the posts saying I love my black wheels with a pic of wheels only partially black. So, in that vein:

Love my black wheels, wouldn't have any other color valve stems.

I’ve got them on my ‘20 GT Rapid Red convertible. I didn’t especially want them or not but they were part of some blackout package that was on the car I otherwise liked so what the heck. They look pretty good when the car is clean but they still are not a big deal to me one way or the other. Overall I think the car is beautiful so the wheels must be a part of that. I personally judge them in context of the entire car and don’t focus on any one element.

So here’s a novel idea: if you like ‘em, get ‘em but if you don’t, then don’t. Seems easy to me but I’m probably overlooking something.

Not totally black, of course. They look fine. You’ll remember in the ‘70s, when we could not afford mags, we’d paint our wheels black (if they weren’t already) and put on chrome trim rings, lug nuts and center caps. Just need a little something to define the wheel:

you and I must have missed the memo. This thread is for totally black rims.

i also run my all black PP rims sometimes when I need another way. Like when my DR’s need replacing. I don’t think I could go with silver unless it was silver/black Welds.

I like my black rims. But silver or chrome probably looks better.

Black rims are slowly becoming the norm, cannot wait for my black accent '22 at some point next year.

Don't take this the wrong way, as it is just my opinion of black wheels.
Your car and most with black wheels, looks like back when I was a new driver and could not afford mag's and had black steel wheels, and no hub caps.
To me, I don't see the point. but some like the look, if we all liked the same thing it be very boring.
But all these cars rolling on black wheels look like my 1986 t/a after my alum wheels got jacked and I had 4 steel black wheels on it, after it was recovered.
I used to think the same way for a long time, but since getting my Mustang the black wheels have definitely grown on me.
I probably will go for an aftermarket option down the track as I really like a more open design wheels with less spokes but to complete that look, I think you need some nicer rotors and that all gets pricey.
For now the stock black wheels are fine with me but they are being a bit overplayed by all the companies imo. It will be interesting what the new trend will be.

I almost went with polished or graphite wheels. Glad I went with black. It's just mean and sexy at the same time.😁

There is a solution for this. If your car came with black wheels and you don't like them; sell them and buy another color or chrome. Just remember there are probably just as many people that like black wheels, as there are those that don't and just as many that will dislike whatever the new wheel happens to be.

I had to laugh, OP stated how he dislikes black wheels and almost every pic is of cars that have black wheels. Hmmm that sort of seems the opposite of what I would want to see if I disliked them.

OP, you could have made this really interesting by throwing up a few pics of wheel colors that you would like on your car. :)
