I respect someone who has the good taste with the vision and courage to do what he wants and not just follow the crowd. Great job man but if I may be so bold, I would paint the brake callipers the light blue to match. 👍👍👍
Yea Bulutt you are correct. I thought about painting them just haven't got around to it yet. Thanks for your comments!

Like someone said once the Kia's came with black wheels everything else did. Now it is overkill. However, I think black wheels look better on dark colored cars. It really depends on the appearance on the rest of the car too.

I felt the same way until I saw silver PP wheels. No offense to anyone with silver PP wheels,
The problem with PP wheels is that they are just ugly, and in silver you can actually see that. In black, as OP says, you can't see the wheels at all so you don't notice.

By the way, I agree with OP that black wheel are seldom the best look on a car. They aren't bad on white or light paint, but they turn a black or dark car into a blob, with no definition at all.

We all have our opinions. That's mine.

I don't like black wheels because every SUV, truck, and minivan has them these days, they're way over played imo.
Agreed.

IMO black wheels were played out about 10 years ago. I remember really liking them for a few years. I jumped right on the bandwagon. I had a set of Cragar Soft 8s on my 65 Ford 250.

Anyway, they should have been a short fad, but the OEMs keep churning out the ugly things.

I want that look on my gt/ cs. I looked on cragars site. I used to have cragar ss on my last 68 fastback. Loved the look. Didn’t see them for s550.

Here’s cragars from our current 68 project
The 17s that were on my S197 were also cool……for me. Just old school

Contrary to popular belief, the original '68 Bullitt wheels were black, not grey. Look it up.

I'm another happy Bullitt owner with black wheels.

How about 3 seasons of black and 1 season of bright?
Picked up a set of these with winter rubber on them a couple weeks ago. This is a photo of just one of them on the car as I was checking to see if they’d fit over the big front Brembos.
Best of both worlds. And I think the mix of green paint, red brakes and tinselly wheels add a Christmasy touch that might brighten the mostly grey days of southern Ontario winter.
Will post another pic come late November or so when I put all four on for the silly season.
