My happiness is my wife of 40 years being happy. It's all give and take, and I've been here before. I give in for a couple years, then I get what I want. Besides, I'm buying a boat too, so I'm fine with a concession. Got myself this with the Mustang payoff:
Generally, true of all European cars. I've had countless European cars over the years and particularly, Alfas, Fiats, triumphs and all the German brands. The key is maintenance on schedule. The great thing about American cars has been their robustness in the face of less than great maintenance.
I've had a lot of (N54/55) BMWs, and my advise to people who are not "car guys", is to only buy one new and/or used under factory warranty and ditch them when the warranty runs out. That said, I love them for myself and can work on them pretty well so they don't worry me.
BFG G-Force Comp-2 A/S Plus with about 10K miles on them. 305s in the back don't help in this situation. As to the rest, my wife's really car savvy. I've had numerous really fast cars incl some tuned N54 BMWs ... Her experience with me is the Mustang sound is an instigator. I bought a...
That's incredible, assuming you didn't have a roll bar/cage (and not the cosmetic "styling" bar. I always wondered about the strength of the A pillars in these American cars.
No, Just generally getting quickly to the posted speed limit (maybe a bit more)... Short but frequent bursts of speed, and enjoyed making noise with my custom cat-back exhaust.
According to the ticket.... "speed unsafe for conditions". I was passing a semi on the highway and was accelerating while crossing into the left lane and hit a patch of water in the ruts. Back end broke loose ad there was no coming back from that.
Two cars before the Mustang, I had a 2014 Z435i and before that, an '08 135I 'vert. Loved them both. This time, I've gone with a 2020 30i (at my wife's insistence). I'm fine with it... The B48 is a stout engine and its quicker than an ecoboost (0-60 in 5.1). Just doesn't sound like anything...
I had merged onto the highway, trying to pass a semi in the middle lane. Moving into the left lane going 65mph and gave it too much gas while passing over the water-filled ruts in the road. Back end broke loose, there was no traction to correct anything. Car broke to the left, then right, then...
Well, my wife says I drove that car like a punk, and she's pretty-much right. Just sounded so bad-ass... Anyway, after 40 years of marriage, I know how to keep it going and get my way (eventually). I'll give it a go with a BMW Z430i (thank god for turbos and tunes) for a few years before I...
After 46 years of driving countless fast cars, I had first and only accident. Totaled my 2018 GT in the rain on the highway. Its a testament to the engineering of this car that I was totally unharmed. Wife wants me to "turn it down"... No V8 replacement...
Oh Michelin... My Dad swore by them. No doubt a great tire but always been overpriced. For this performance level, I'm a huge fan of Conti EC2 sport AS tires. Have had them on an M3, 135i, Z435i, JagXK, and more. On my current GT, I wanted a bit retro, and "American" and went with the BFG...
The Mach 1 visually, is pretty discrete... Only Mustang fans really see the difference. The exhaust gets some attention, but so many 'Stangs are loud(er) as hell anyways.

Especially in Florida, or anywhere else where rental convertibles are a dime-a-dozen
Didn't know about the 2-series convertible... Have not been in the the market for a few years. I hope they bring it back... I much prefer it over the 4-series. As to the Z4, the "package shelf" in the cockpit is pretty-much the same as in the E89... About 4" deep at best.... No way a...
