Any aftermarket DP will decrease back pressure vs stock so if the PCV is allowing pressure in the crankcase at idle and oil backup into the turbo it will smoke.

It can lessen the smoke but if there is enough it may still be present. The car may also have enough back pressure to stop the smoke as well. It really depends on the engine and the PCV of each car.

If the cat is catching the smoke, it will eventually fail. They are not designed for that, and will probably eventually melt or clog with carbon.

I installed my catch can this week end and realized the upr dual valve does not have a check valve on the dirty line coming off the pcv. If deleted wouldn't that pressurize the catch can under boost?

Just the opposite. Boost is coming from the intake manifold, so if you don't want the catch can to see boost, the check valve goes between the intake manifold and the catch can.

1/2" (12mm) I bought a UPR one off ebay for cheap. Yes it goes from the can to the intake manifold. CAN OUT --------> CHECK VALVE (--->) ---------> INTAKE MANIFOLD

Be very sure that the check valve is flowing air in the direction ronv95 is showing in his post

Do not get anything from a hardware store, get a check valve that is made specifically for this purpose. I went with one from Boomba, it was around $40.

Get one from UPR for like $15....had mine forever....don't pay $40 for it unless you just want to spend money
