My windows are tinted but not as dark as most people get them. I want them darker than factory but light enough to see in otherwise it is too easy to get pulled over. As long as you can see in easily cops rarely bother you. I have 50% on the windshield and all side windows. The rear window is 5%. Many of my photos may look like the windows are not tinted because of the lighting being so bright. In person you can very much tell they are tinted. Here is a shot where the windows look a little darker.

Jaime: The method you described would have been my second option and it will work just fine. As you know, the critical area will be the cut line which will, over time, be susceptible to accumulating dirt. You can get a "SEALITPEN" at any of the online vinyl outfits that works very well on those edges BUT, you gotta seal them BEFORE they get dirty.

As for folks not noticing or even believing there was film on the car, I completely believe it. When the job is done right, it just ends up looking like a killer paint job with a lot of depth.

I ordered up some side stripes. What do you guys think about moving the GT500 logo to the beginning of the door instead of the fender. Who has the photoshop skills?

I forgot to add after the comment about air bubbles in vinyl...

I've used a bunch of different squeegees on vinyl and I think these are the best. Unlike the plastic versions, the rubber squeegees "grip" better and pull the air/liquid out the best.

Disregard, Tom..I remembered that Mark posted a link to the company.

Which did you get, gloss or matte black?

And for that price, (holy smoke they're cheap compared to OEM,) you could replace them down the road if necessary although it's unlikely you would need to if they're given good care.

Looks really good Mark. I wish we could tint windshields in MA, but thats another reason I hate this State.

I put a limo (5%) strip at the top of my windshield. I did 20% on the back window (typical factory privacy glass percentage), and legal (35%) on the side windows. I used to do 20% all the way around, but that makes seeing at night with my old eyes a chore.

Tom, how tall is the "GT500" portion?
standby.

Edited to add:
4"

And whoever said it, I agree. This vinyl is very thin. You could PPF right over the top of it I suspect.

Gloss... To match the painted on stripes.

Hmmmm, I wonder if it would still look good if I cut 1/2" off the top and bottom to match the 3" height of the stock stripes...

Thanks for measuring.
