No side stripes.

There’s already a ton of things going on with the GT500 design, especially the CFTP, it starts getting “noisy”.

Also, those upper/lower horizontal strakes that runs across the door and tie the front and rear fenders together really pops on [metallic] silver, stripes would detract and dilute ‘em.

I know there’s some historical design precedence, but I say, in your case, less is more.

I ordered my CFTP with vinyl OTT and side....what a dummy, I wasted that $ because im now in the over category and will remove them, have ppf applied and then reapply over albeit with some slightly different swag to them..

Despite what KB says, its not bad. You will be fine. I wouldnt remove them if they came from the factory. If you absolutely can't stand any kind of gap, have your xpel guy do a relief cut along the stripe.

I have gloss black. Yes, there is a choice.

I just ordered a second set of gloss because when the car goes back for the remainder of xpel, they will have to do one of the doors over again (some dirt got under it). I may not need the new set (the xpel may not pull the stripe off, so let me know if you'd like to buy mine as opposed to returning them to the mfg.
Where did you order the stripes from? Are they OEM?

I second the side stripes with the GT500 in it.

I feel like the side stripes are a nod to the car's heritage.

I had all my stripes re-done (tried to cancel after seeing some in person, but it was too late for my VIN) and they now wrap all the way around the edges and we replaced the side stripes.

I did PPF over the stripes, I am tracking the car and I know the ceramic is going to go a long ways towards helping to keep it clean, but I LOATHED cleaning race rubber off the stripes on my previous mustang (it was neither PPF or Ceramic coated)

side stripes and PPF install on my car:

I’m a yes. Mine is ordered with them. Down the road I may get GT500 in front of the doors.

Do it right away so you can do the ppf. I went with the base stripes and am happy with them but wish I had done the stripes with the GT500 in them.

I bought some side stripes for my car after seeing some members cars who had added them. I'm now having second thoughts. Anybody else add them recently? I'm now thinking it looks cleaner without them.

Nope, that car looks great, stripes would cheapen the clean look, especially with that color combo.

It's completely subjective, whatever YOU think looks best is the only thing that matters.
Yeah, I think the side stripes look great on different color combinations. I was dead set on adding them to my car. After getting my car and seeing it in person, I realized that maybe less is more on this combo. Anybody want to buy some white GT500 stripes?

It's a no-brainer, I've been a member here for 5 or 6 months and that might be the nicest looking Mustang I've seen on this site, car is pretty much perfect.

Then why do they offer side stripes on the vinyl option?
