I placed a black pen mark 1/2" from the top and bottom of the graphic

Thanks Tom, I think since its one solid block vs 2 stripes is should look OK trimmed down to 3". I purchased mine over a week ago, how long did it take you to get yours? I haven't received any emails from them.I placed a black pen mark 1/2" from the top and bottom of the graphic
Wha???Guess I spoke too soon Tom, my daughter just walked in the house with them.
Also, mine are exactly the size of the OEM stripes (3")
Oh no worries at all Tom, no harm, no foul. Funny thing is I do the exact same thing when I measure, especially with a tape measure, to factor out the slop at the hook end of the tape. I have often forgot to adjust my math. Honestly, it feels good to know I am not the only one haha.Wha???
Eited to add:
I rushed to the closet to double check my work.....
Wow, do I feel like an idiot. Jamie, I'm sorry. I have an old tape measure and for precise mesaurments I always use the 1" mark to start my measurement.... I forgot to deduct the 1". Yes, they are 3"
Doe!
Thats exactly why I did that.Oh no worries at all Tom, no harm, no foul. Funny thing is I do the exact same thing when I measure, especially with a tape measure, to factor out the slop at the hook end of the tape. I have often forgot to adjust my math. Honestly, it feels good to know I am not the only one haha.
I believe the OEM stripes are 3" tall. Aftermarket is 3" tallThanks, Tom, I assumed that, just wanted to check.
And have I understood correctly (not likely,) that the DGDirect vinyl product is an inch taller than the combined height of the factory side stripes? Tom? Jaime? Mark?
I understand. I would just slap it on for a day for some photos on the track.<smiling>
OK, it ALL makes sense now and I just knew that company would have no reason to change the height of the decal.
On the other subject of "how big" Tom, while my cutter can handle 36" rolls, I only have a couple and only because they were given to me. Unless you're doing REALLY big signs, there's rarely a need to use more than a 12-15" width roll and that is 99 percent of what I have.
Consequently, one dimension would be limited to about a foot with the other dimension being limited only by the amount of vinyl remaining on the roll.
However, since the intended purpose is a one-day track event/photo shoot, it just wouldn't be worth my time to design, cut, and weed it or, yours to apply it which would take some care due to its size.
Hope that makes sense.
Yep, I'd just slap it on for a track day over the track tape.Glad you understand, Tom and FTR, unless you've been doing it for years, you can't just slap on a decal that size...that is, if you don't want monster bubbles and wrinkles.
Maybe I'll have a printer/cutter before i check out...that is the perfect solution for almost any decal but they're prohibitively expensive (now) for my needs.
<chuckling> GOOD one, dude. :-)And no, you can't have the high res photos now.....
Imagine a red car with a big ass wing and a snoopy on the side for a chuckle out of earl.<chuckling> GOOD one, dude. :-)
I don't think I could handle a yellow car but I sure do love the looks of this one.
