I'm not sure what you mean about the design flaw with folding down the rear seats? I can put them down without needing to push forward the front seats. Maybe I gotta check that out again so I can see what you mean lol

And yea the Scat Pack will be a bit more in price depending on what options and configurations you choose. But the scat pack I configured was only $2k more than the Mustang GT Premium I had built. But I was also getting some additional options in the scat pack like a super premium Harman Kardon audio system and the bigger 20" wheels already come standard.

But yea you're also right if you go crazy adding every option like sunroofs etc. You can push the base scat pack from around $38-39k to $45-47k. In the Mustang GT Premium I built. I was still at around $43k so the difference wasn't too crazy.
I Thought you were comparing the base GT PP to the base Scatpac. That is apples to apples after you add the HID option to the Scatpack. If you compared the Premium GT PP to the base Scatpac it's not a fair price/feature comparison.

Not sure how you could not notice the rear seat fold down issue. Watch how far forward you need the front seats to fold down the rear. After folded down you can move the front seat back a bit because of the pocket in the back of the front seat, but not far. That's a real issue for me because my seats are always down.

How can you not compare a gt premium with an optioned scat pack? The scat pack has many things standard that you could only get on a premium gt. For example, the rt plus interior minus the leather. I'll add the leather seats and they become very comparable.

Personally, I'm a muscle car fan and don't get into the manufacturer wars that go on. Reminds me of Glock vs. Sig vs. S&W, etc. I like the looks and performance of the Mustang, Challenger, Corvette, Camaro and Charger. It all boils down to which one is able to check-off the most important things YOU are looking for within YOUR budget.

I agree. I think the Challenger is much better looking than Camaro or Mustang. I like the solid feel of Challenger, although I do prefer smaller cars. To me all three are too big.

The interior - I didn't really have a favorite, but the Camaro was definitely my least favorite. The pistol grip is cool, but not a game changer for me.

I do trust Ford a little more for quality than the other two, but that's probably just my personal bias. I don't think actual quality numbers necessarily support my thoughts on quality.

What really made up my mind was the cost. I wouldn't spend $2-4K more for a Dodge, and when I priced out the options I wanted on a Camaro it was also $2-4K over Mustang.

So bottom line to me I think they are all close and it becomes a matter of personal taste. I'm glad there is competition in the market because I think it has made all 3 cars better.

Got ya. Yea I was comparing the GT Premium vs the Scat Pack with leather/suede interior and similar options to make it truly apples to apples and the difference was only about $1-2k depending on certain appearance packages and sound systems etc. There's a lot the Scat Pack just offers as standard without needing to add in options too. It's a cool package.

I will say this, if you have a gut feeling that the challenger is what you want, despite some of its flaws, get it. Otherwise, everytime you see one in traffic you'll feel a little pang of desire, and think in the back of your head that you should've gotten the one you REALLY wanted. Don't talk yourself in to or out of it. Just do what you feel is best.
Some of the best advice I've seen on here and that can go for either direction you go. That's the exact feeling I started to have after I left my deposit for the Mustang. I found myself really getting those pangs for the Challenger every time I saw one and I couldn't make it go away. After that... I just knew the Chalenger was the right car for me. And I'm sure many mustang owners can say the same for their own cars as well. It's just gotta click and feel right

Also completely agreed with you XDMan! Too many people get too married to just their manufacturer instead of being able to see that there's a lot to love about all these badass cars right now.

The competition and friendly rivalry has definitely pushed all 3 to become better and I think it's been way better for consumers in the end. The performance wars are always entertaining

Sig all the way! :headbang:
Glock 27 owner here, but also have Smith Bodygaurd and Ruger LCP because Glock does make a small enough .380 for carry. Also Stoeger Stagecoach and Bushmaster AR-15.

No, no, no. HK, SIG, and Walther. Toss in Kimber if you're a 1911 guy I guess.

I like Kimber

But I refuse to pay that much for a pistol. All my weapons are economy stuff that works well (Saiga 12 gage semi-auto Kalashnikov, AK-47, etc). I like the stuff that is low maintenance...but effective. No AR's or Kimber for me.

If you're a Stryker fire guy try the ppq. It's about g19 size but it's has the best trigger I have ever felt on a poly gun. Both break and reset are very crisp. The ergos on the grip are fantastic as well. No p30 but darn close. I picked my used ppq up for just over 400, but I feel it's worth every penny.

Plus Walther's come out with the ccp. Should be a pretty soft shooter with the gas system and less heat transfer to your hands because of the polymer.
