No more wheels with the appearance group... the stripe kit is now $500, and the wheels a stand alone package of $1000
I question that about Dodge, for example. The Camaro ZL1 and Z28 come with better equip tires for handling and traction. Ford will also upgrade the tires on the GT-350R compared to the GT, why can't Dodge spend a bit more money on their side to put well equipped tires on their cars? Most of the reviews I seen, they talked about that one aspect, its like putting on gym shoes and jumping in a skating ring.

No I agree with you on that, was just pointing that out. I hate that the tires are so skinny lol

Congrats! I toiled over a 15' Challenger myself, but couldn't pass up the opportunity for the LE near me.
Post pics!

on edit: I do love the new taillight setup on the 15' Challengers. Looks great.

Sorry just saw this. Only 2 decent pics I have so far... Obviously had them remove he dealer sticker lol.

That's a question that will elicit many responses because they are really two different cars from two different paths that meet in the same category. I was shopping the Scat Pack and was initially impressed with the car, however, upon further review, I found a number of details that left me less impressed. The dealer made it easy for me, as he wouldn't budge from ADP of $7k on the Challenger. I agree that mods to the Mustang < $1,000 will leave you with 475 hp and a much lighter car.

The Challenger is a 2-door Charger, and while it would make a better carpooler, the Mustang, especially with the Recaros / PP is a much more sporty car. I think the resale value will bear this out, plus the aftermarket opportunities abound for the Mustang. Drive them both and decide for yourself.

Looks cool. Still not a huge fan of the rear though, but it's ok. Personally I prefer the mustang, but at the same time I do really like the overall look of these new Challengers. And it's a very unique look. These cars really stand out. Good luck with it. Oh, and once those tires wear out, I'd replace them with 275/40's which will fit fine on a 9" wheel.

It is an unfortunate fact that the aftermarket support for the Challenger is wanting.

A big sticking point is the wheels, actually. Mopar uses 5 x 115 where the vast, vast majority of wheels are 5 x 114.3.

Do you like the back end of the mustang ?
Get the scat pack and you'll see it all day.

The Challenger with scat pack is actually a bit faster in a straight line. (From a stop - Not sure about roll racing) However, it doesn't take much for a mustang to surpass it with the help of the aftermarket. And when it comes to corners, well we all know the outcome there...

It sounds to me that your tastes run more towards the Challenger. I think the Mustang is too big - and I'm 6'4" 230. I also am cheap. Even $1,000 might be enough to change my decision.

Challenger will be more comfortable, but only slightly. The 2015 Mustang is a lot better than the previous version in that respect.
It will be more than $1000 if one goes with the manual and pay gas guzzler tax -- also, was the comparison street price to street price?

Stock for stock a GTPP will be gazing at the taillights of a Scat Pack in frustration all day long.
The A8 for sure has the advantage. Wonder how manual vs. manual would fair?

Very very even fight. The Scat Pack has a severe tire disadvantage but has better torque and gearing.

I think M6 Scat Pack's have been running 12.6's and 12.7's with good drivers, rumors going around of one down in the south turning 12.4's but that hasn't been confirmed.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread and all the great responses on both sides. I had a very similar experience to Pietran30 and had a deposit for a Mustang GT down initially. But in the end , the Challenger Scat Pack won out for me too and I already put down a deposit at Dodge a few weeks ago.

But this forum has been an awesome one where I've learned a lot too and I'll also stick around to keep up with the latest in Mustang world cuz I still love both cars a lot

I like Both, they are both fast cars, and each offers its own advantages. You'll def see more mustangs on the road than challengers. The mustang seats had me from the second I sat in them. Very supportive. I will say my wife and her dad and brother wanted to take my mustang to a Christmas light thing on Christmas Eve, that was miserable. They're both 5'7, I'm 6 ft even and my wife is about 5'7. So giving them JUST enough room to fit made it uncomfortable for me and for them. Challenger would be a better DD IMO, but I have an accord for that.
