Softened the front bar one notch and car felt much better. Unique non-scca event here with 3 runs basically back to back so didn't even have time to adjust tire pressures before hand. Set them a bit low foe the first run hoping to hit peak pressured by the 2nd to 3rd run. Car felt super stable with the aero, but scraped the splitter hard on the rollercoaster style compression and under heavy braking uphill. New springs will be ordered and installed in the offseason.

Pro solo style, I like it. I've said it before, the Pro Solo format is so much more fun than a typical tour event. More runs, back to back, no break between runs, just get your buddy to adjust pressures and send it.

IMO, it's a way more level playing field than guys who are pressure washing yok's between runs to cool them down.

The problem is that with only 4 cars allowed on "course" at once and no spectators we were locked in and in the 94 degree heat my Yokohamas were screaming for a break by run 3.

Lolol. I may switch off these next season and go to the more expensive stones. These things are fast but the wet noodle sidewalls just feel so weird to me.

What size Bridgestones would you get? Go back to a 305/30? I thought about the 295/35 Yok's. So I'm glad you're testing these out for me basically haha

Yea the 305/30 gives me a slight acceleration gain as well and the GT350 has plenty of speed in 2nd gear for any SCCA course.

Makes sense. I've got the opposite issue. I need more top end. Not many choices taller than a 305/30.

Are you 18" or 19"?

295/35-19 Yokohama or 315/30-19 are 19" options. Due to the GT350 front brakes I've never investigated 18" options so no help there.

19's. The 315's are not much taller. I've seen other people mention the Yok's sidewalls are soft and feel mushy. I'm not too crazy about spending $2000 on tires that don't feel all that great. I wish Bridgestone would offer a 295/35.

And im over here wishing they made a 325/30-19 in anything 200tw and competitive.

Going to give the 71-RS 'stones a shot this go round. .3" narrower than the Falken's, but everyone I've met says they are superior over the life of the tire. Looking forward to the results!

Also, it looks like Tire Rack is doing the same thing as last year, tires become available not long before Nationals. At least in a 305/30/19.
