What width rim in inches do yall run for 315 wide rear tires?

im specifically talking about 20” rims, 35 profile, basically stock 20” option with wider rims

i plan on running a 305-325 area tire, im looking at one option for 315, i read online they recommend a 12” rim but thats huge, ive seen posts where its possible but id prefer some better clearance

i plan on running street tires, possibly all seasons/200w tires if that matters

Any chance you have a pic of the tire from behind the car so i can see the profile the tire makes? All good if not

An 11" wide wheel will be fine for that size - many manufacturers base their section width and tread with of that size on a 11" wide wheel.

Is there any particular reason you're looking at a 315/35/20? That's over an inch taller (`28.7" vs 27.3") than the stock 265/30/20. The section and tread width of a 305/30/20 is very similar, and is the correct height.

Thats fine! Thanks! Just wanted to see how it looks, sometimes a smaller rim makes a stretched look and i dont want that necessarily

Im pretty sure the stock is 265/35/20, based off tire rack as the car is not near me currently to check. Im going to keep the stock profile just a wider rim, whichever is oem, the 30 or 35 profile

I am running 315 (30 series on a 11 inch wide 19 inch wheel) this came stock on the Mach 1 HP. I would say 11 will be fine.

If OEM is 265/35/20 you’ll want 305/30/20 or 315/30, not 35 profile. When you go wider the profile height also goes up, so that much wider you need to go down a profile to 30.

11” is good for 305 or 315. My ZL1 comes with 305/30/20 11” wide wheels. For comparison the ZL1 1LE has 325 width and 12” wide wheels.

A narrower wheel makes the too-wide-of-a-tire sort of bulge. A rim that is too wide will make the narrower tire looked stretched.

Hello there.
I have a 2016 and run staggered tires. I found a 10” rim with a 275 tire keeps me in the wheel well. I think an 11” rim and 315 tire might put you over the wheel well fender lip. Not sure but this is my thought.

A differenr offset remedies this issue, pushes the rim inward more to compensate the extra width
