You're in Japan? it's 9 am in the morning on a Saturday.
Shouldn't you be out driving your R34 instead of asking nonsensical questions?

:p
I was driving it late last night, gotta get my coffee first.

Why would ANY manufacturer lower HP numbers for the same engine?

Not a conspiracy theory... pretty much a fact.

The reason for not giving the EB "more" is for durability reasons. The same for ANY engine. Manufacturers CAN get more out of any engine if all they wanted to do was win a numbers game. But durability would suffer which would increase warranty repairs and a loss to their reputation.
FAR more than 10hp can be tuned out of this engine without effecting durability. That THEORY just doesn't make sense from an engineering standpoint

They're on the forum and published all over the web. Do a search.
No way? I hadn't thought of that!

The drag time slips section for the V6 is empty and a google search yields nada. Couple of likely BS times on some off drag brag pages and nothing from a reputable source.

then why don't all turbo engined car manufacturers just build 5,000 HP cars and call it a day

Maybe, and this is a big maybe, Ford didn't do anything with the power numbers to compete with each other. Whether you buy a EB, V6, or a GT Ford is selling a Mustang. They may have put the EB numbers where they were because it is the highest HP turbo 4 cylinder on the market (that I can think of). Why go all out when you are beating the competition and it makes it easier for slight increases as the years go by?

Go to the subsections for the motors, you will find information.

I think the ecoboost pulls away after exceeding pedestrian speeds (shown C/D's EB writeup) and I personally love the feel of the surge of torque as much (or a little more) than winding out the 6. The typical 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc are most probably neck and neck with the pair.

I love the 6 and if I were getting a base model I would have considered it, but the boost won me over IMO. Again I doubt there is much of any performance difference whatsoever until you get into stupid speeds

mileage is more or less the same. averaged low 20's in mixed driving and a brisk pace on a '13 V6 I rented, and im getting about the same in the EB
