Next time is sub 30. I was testing bunch of stuff.
the quick release MMR 10speed kit for removable steering wheel with paddles
New setup
New tune by OZTUNING (GAIN 3MPH!)
NEW BIGGER TIRES (335 SQUARED)
next time hope you enjoy.
Made another trip to Daytona and improved significantly, car also ran better, although hotter, than my last trip. I was hoping for a sub 2:10 and got close, had a couple sessions where I was running 2+ seconds ahead until I hit traffic that was slow to point-by and had to throw the lap away.
I think I could do a 2:08-2:09 with a clear track, one thing I notice is I am hitting the rev-limit/top-speed just before the brake point for the bus stop and that’s great, but I hit it again coming out of the banking onto the front straight, when the car hits the limiter it’s bleeding off about 5mph from the fuel cut. I had also intended to try a session without the gurney flap but did not have the right torx bit.
Bummer I hoped for the sub 50. in the second lap I had and was the one but this time I do have excuses. transmission start going down after turn 6 .
I OVERFILLED IT. frustrating .
then the stress took over and I also made mistake on last turn
the TIRES barriers on the ESSES didn't help either. next time
