These'll never rust:

And they don't dust much either - I get more road dust on them than brake dust...
Are you showing CCB rotors? If so wow - helluva smart investment if one amortizes it over a long term buy & hold. How do they wear?

ok, so i tried the Dry Coat Rust Preventative today. and this thing WORKS! very easy, just spray it on after cleaning the wheels and hosing off everything, while rotors are still wet. that's it. totally touchless. it dried without rust and after taking it for a 30 min drive, wheels are pretty clean (light brake dust but nothing like the rotor rust i have been getting everytime i wash the car). very very very happy with this product. this is how it dried...

Ordered - will have it the day before the car ;-)
Thanks for the tip!

Yes, those are CCB's front and rear. Mine have 16 track days on them and if I didn't tell you, you'd never guess - they look brand new. Ditto brake pads - I'm running Pagid RSL29's with these front and rear and in 12 track days, the front pads have worn to 14mm total thickness from the original 17mm. The rear pads are wearing a little faster, but it's not a surprise because they're so much smaller. The key to long life with CCB's is good brake cooling and the GT350 has excellent brake cooling from the factory.

Thats awesome when the pad is the sacrificial element to that level....of course it better be that way with rotors that cost that much ;-)

I used Hyde’s Serum Rust Stopper today and wish I had found it along time ago. Works exactly as advertised. Today was the first time I was able to drive my car after washing and not have my perfectly cleaned wheels full of brown brake dust. Highly recommend.

P&S Brake Buster solved the rusting problem for me and it has rust inhibitors in it, 8 bucks a bottle and dilutable, I had the same issue

if it works the same as the rust preventative, the RP is a better deal at $10 (versus $16 + shipping) for the same amount (16oz). the HSRS is going to be over $1/oz after shipping.

this one is interesting if it works like the rust preventative, since you get 128 ounces for $24 ($.19/oz). that is significantly less than the RP at $.64/oz. a few questions:

1) does the P&S BB work just by spraying on the cleaned/wet rotors and that's it? let it dry on its own and no rust? that is how easy the RP is.
2) what is the dilution ratio with water?

TIA...

I suffered from this as well before. Recently just started driving down to the cul-de-sac after a wash and it's been staying much cleaner. That being said I am interested in more feedback on the P&S BB stuff.

hey you mind clarifying how well this BB works? is it as simple as spray onto cleaned, wet rotors and it does its thing? self-dries w/o rust on rotors? that is what i am looking for. or do you hose it off after spraying it on the rotors? but either way, do the rotors have no rust after dried?

It's a wheel/tire cleaner. Spray on, clean, wash off.

you missed the point.
You asked how it works. You spray it on, agitate and clean, then wash off. I've never dried afterwords. It's a wheel cleaner with rust inhibitors built in. It has worked pretty well for me in keeping rust off the rotor.
