I hear the next Hellcat will debut right after Ford releases debuts the GT500.

Then the "KR" will reveal right after the new Hellcat, then the "L88 'Vette" right after that, then the all new 'Cuda after that........

True, everything is going to come down the line eventually. However I mean quite literally, to cut into the GT500 spotlight asap.

Nothing will take the spotlight off the GT500 if ford lays the hammer down with something very special. We'll see, but i have a good feeling it will be a beast of beasts

This is also true, I imagine much like the ZL1 it will be a much better overall performance car if it is based on the GT350's bones. But FCA likes building silly cars just as much as the others. The Hellcat has been a huge success for them.

GT500 - 750 HP
GT500KR - 808HP

My guess
You need to throw out some guesses for the engine department. Mainly fuel and air delivery.

The 808hp engine will need to be a Hot V BiTurbo. Calling it "Twin" would lead many to believe that it is a Parallel Twin Turbo. The Ecoboost 5.4 in the GT500KR makes 808hp/800tq.

The 700-750hp GT500 will use a SINGLE Hot V Twin Scroll Turbo. It will/should be around 725-750hp/660tq, be in both manual and its own version of the A10. This engine will be shared with the Raptor, Bronco, Lightning ect. The A10 will also be shared.

I believe at one time there was a Supercharged Coyote considered. thePill had heard it was called the Mach 1. It made 650hp/620tq... it would have been what GM expected.

Ford using a Hot V design wouldn't be as crazy as converting a Coyote to a Flat Plane Crank. A Hot V design doesn't look compatible or, very comfortable on an OHV engine. Just as a Flat Plane Crank is hard to do with pushrods.

Just got word from a friend of a friend who worked with Edsel and the Deuce, that Holman Moody are working on a twin turbo, and supercharged gt500. This beast will be awd with a 10 speed auto. Some insiders at Roush claim that some early testing has been done with a Turbonique rear axle for that added boost of horsepower. Source also claims that Saleen has been pulled from the jaws of bankruptcy to design and build the kr which will be mid engine and constructed out of carbon fiber and aluminum. Source says to look for the return of Dan Gurney's all American racers to return to racing at the 24 hours of daytona in a race prepped kr.

The last KR didnt have anymore HP did it?
I think it will just have more track added features. Same engine output etc. Could see a.reduced weight or special carbon fiber on a KR tho.

The last KR had 540hp vs the 500 of the regular GT500.

Pure speculation lol
Yes, you are voice of reason! Some of these cats (and we all know who they are) get on here having us believe that they have inside knowledge but we all know that EVERYTHING we see posted her is PURELY SPECULATION. This all very entertaining but don't believe the ones that speak in absolutes...their speculation is no better/accurate than any others. Take it all with a grain of salt until Ford speaks!
