Think you've just hit on some out of date placeholders:

The 2016s are already about to be launched, so it'd be too late for any new 2015s.

5.2 V6? That'll be the GT350s 5.2 V8

You're right about the year, my bad.
But why would they not write Gt350 instead? :D
And are you saying that the 6Cyl is just a "typing error"? :)

The 500 tag is probably a carry over from the 2014 listings that they are using as a placeholder for the 350. I have learned not to trust the descriptions/titles on fordparts.com!

All GT500 rumor threads are being merged together, and moved to the General forum.

You may have noticed the "Mach 1" thread is also now in the General forum.

If you can keep such rumor threads together, it would be appreciated

Here's what a Shelby Regional Director posted exactly 1 year ago ..

"We took a tour of Watson Racing last week on a trip to Dearborn. Surprisingly, they came right out and confirmed the GT350 AND that they would be responsible for a VIN'd R model. Also confirmed that its a flat crank NA, and since they produced the BOSS S, I can only assume they have a race only version down the line as well.

I notice a few of you have mentioned the Trinity. The bombshell of the trip came when I heard the Romeo engine plant was closed off to tours because the plant was working on Voodoo and a NEW big block to replace the 5.8 -and said as if that information was just common knowledge..."

So the consensus is that the GT350 will be replaced by the 500 in MY 17 or 18? Seems odd to do all that R&D for such a limited run (essentially two model years). So logically the 5.2 would have to stay on but in FI format.

Although it would be interesting to see the 2017 GT motor mated with the new 10 speed auto.

2018 is the best guess. Ford has a history of spending a bunch of R&D $$ for two year life products so that wouldn't surprise me much.

I wouldn't be surprised either if they use the 5.2L block for a larger version of the Coyote for use in the GT500 with an Eaton TVS sitting on top.

Its just going to be a revised more powerful version of the Shelby GT that is already out, same power plant and everything. Expect 700hp roughly and magna ride.

Doubt they will go supercharged this time. I would think more turbocharged.

Not a rumor, but didn't know where to put this. Was at a Ford dealer this afternoon in NJ looking for a used car for my son - and also inquiring about a GT350 for next year. In the showroom, they have a 2013 shelby GT500 with 67 miles on it - asking $59K. Is this a good deal??

No, it's rumor/assumption that keeps being repeated. I don't know why people think the GT350 is going to be a 2 year run. The GT500 ran from '07 through '14, which is pretty much the entirety of the S197 life cycle. I would expect a similar run for the GT350, assuming that it sells as well as the GT500.

Depends on how it's optioned. A base car was ~55K. A fully optioned car was ~68K (PP, TP, Recaros, Glass Roof, Shaker Audio, Car Cover). 59K for a fully optioned car would be a good deal, IMO.

Or a TT Voodoo paired with a 10 speed auto.

Um... And AWD.

that would blow the doors off just about anything not named Veyron.

Not really,.. explains why it's still there. In a year or two you will be able to pick up one of these for 45-50 grand with a few thousand miles on them..If it's anything like the 2010-12 gt500s.
