I never had rock chip issues with my S-197, but it seems the consensus is that the S-550's have much thinner paint and clear. I really can't wait to get her back and see what she looks like! Good luck with your touch up!

Yes, as you can see in the pics, they built primer up in the problem areas and then just scuffed the remaining paint. Rule of thumb is you can do 2 paint jobs before sanding the car down, and leaving the exiting paint makes for better coverage. They laid 5 coats of ruby on top of that, plus 2 coats of tinted clear, and another coat or two of ceramic clear. The paint should hold up really well!

NOTHING TOO MUCH

While my car is in the body shop I took the opportunity to take my upper and lower grills home and re-finished them and re-installed the top quarter grills. The body shop will be finally installing my @VelossaTech Big Mouth ram air as well! Super excited to get her home and feel the high speed horses that the Big Mouth will add!

New Wheels

Dropped a little coin on some new Project6gr 5's from @Need4SpeedMotorsports Thank you for all your help Edgar!

They are shod in Nitto NT555 G2's 19/285 in the front and 20/305 in the rear.

They won't be going on until this Friday as my car is still in the body shop being finished up...

Big Worm inserts

Nice wheels, but I'll stick with 18's. I recently added big worm graphics inserts in carbon fiber but the metallic silver 3M 1080 did not have enough metallic glitter for my taste so I had to scrap stripe material in Mohawk style. I just got to be able to "personally see" the material to judge if I like it. Mercy $200.00 blew up in the quest for custom. Sorry if the pic is upside down, one day I'll learn to use this cell phone camera.
