Oh I forgot to add I used some 400 grit sandpaper layed flat on a table, then rubbed the knob on it to smooth out the bottom of the hole and put a nice smooth edge on the bottom of it. Otherwise the hole saw leaves a sharp edge there for your finger tips.

You know cj pony has knobs that you don't need the adapter. I bought the white one. No need for all of this

This has to be one of the most useful posts I have read on this board in a 4 months I have been a member.

#1 - I bought a shifter ball toady, and went with the Roush, simply based on your un modified side by side picture

#2 - even though i am not doing what you did, the technical write up is well done.

The ones that don't need an adapter only come in certain patterns and colors. This let's me get the orange I wanted, and I don't have a white or black 50 year ball like every one else now. I do love the white ball by the way, I have a hurst white ball in my 65 mustang.

That's from the anchor room. Google it and it'll come up.

I've been driving with it all day and I love the way it feels. Height is great, and it looks killer.

Now that I modified it it is about the same as stock. The cjpp knobs are way lighter than stock normally though
