Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Thought I would make a thread for my new ruby red 5.0.

I did not plan on picking up another car but as many of you know, my hate for the MT-82 is never ending. I couldn't stand my 2012 any more, so I made a trip to the Ford dealership.
After searching debating many combinations, I had a ruby red 5.0 in the back catch my eye. The car was fresh off of the hauler, all of the factory plastics were still intact and had the two major options i needed in a car.
The legendary 6R80 and 3.55 gears, it also came with a few I did not care for like navigation rear sensors and 20 inch factory wheels.

The dealer set me up with a great deal and I took the car home.

I do not have many plans for this mustang, but here is a short list

First on the list had to be Steeda springs!
Big thanks to David@Steeda for the signature Steeda customer service.
cQuartz is set to be applied this weekend.
Amsoil signature series 10w30
Redline hood struts
Sto n sho front license plate bracket
Weathertech floor mats
I also plan on running the same wheel / tire combo I have on the black 5.0.
Forgestar F14 315/35/20 275/35/20.
and a catback X pipe with an undecided axle back. (WILL NOT BE KOOKS)

More bad photos!

I finally had the chance to go out and snap some pics of little ruby red riding hood with her new Steeda springs.

The cars have the same drop with different wheel / tire size.

tint / hood struts installed today.
They did a great job tinting the car, I think they did 5% all around. I asked for 15 doors 5 rear.

Tints look great with that color what percent did you go with?

And is that an old ~'70 Mach 1 in the background?

I thought I went with 15 doors 5 rear, but i think they went 5% all around.
The tint is definitely darker than my Black mustang, should be the same.

Good eye! Its a 1970 SCJ mustang, R code. I have little interest in bringing it back atm.
The two 15s / sti take priority over the 70.

cquartz went on today. The pictures don't do it any justice, the paint looks so deep and rich! Very happy with the results.

Placed an order for tires today. I think i may have found a vendor that has them in stock!
I hope they are not bluffing, I am ready to see this car with black wheels / tires!

Thanks for the kind words!

I have two of the same car because of my never ending hate for the mt-82.

As some of you may know I used to own a 2012. I was getting ready to build a built turbo 5.0. But I came across a small issue, I messed up and picked up an MT-82.
The transmission could not hold the car as it sat. (full exhaust, suspension mods, and the right tire) could not shift above 7k rpms. The clutch would turn sticky and would stick to the floor at the end of 4th gear.
I tried everything, best shifter, best fluids, removed the helper spring, JHR clutch line EVERYTHING I could think of to fix the issue.
One amazing pass down the track, i managed to twist the axle tubes. I replaced them, and picked up a DSS drive shaft while the damage was done.
Once everything was together, I could still not shift at high RPMS. Next option was to replace the clutch, but there as no guarantee it would fix my issue. If that didn't help, i would have to replace the transmission. I wanted a 6r80, but finding one was impossible. The few transmissions that were being sold were going like hot cakes. (looks like I was not the only one that made this mistake)
knowing the MT-82 would not be able to hold the power, and the 6R80 swap costing an arm. I sold the heap and picked up little ruby red riding hood WITH a 6r80.:D

Black 5.0 is scheduled for ARH Header/ ORX / dyno tune on tuesday.
If I ever get tired of the sti, the black 5.0 will hopefully make my turbo 5.0 dreams come true.
The sti is at the shop now getting built sleeved motor, cams, cosworth intake, id 2000 injectors, FP turbo etcetcetc.

First day with the sti

Blown up, on its way to the shop.
