Anyone have the RokBlokz in orange? Is it possible to install rears with out removing wheels?

Just wondering. Has anyone seen stone guards that are clear and very small? I was thinking of trying to make my own too.
It seems the guards need to stick out from fender well maybe 1-2 inches?

Not really. I guess if you were determined enough and had a very short screwdriver and very thin hands, you could perhaps do it, but it would be awfully hard. Whereas with the wheels removed the installation is a piece of cake.
I went to a tyre shop across the way from my home and said: "would you mind lifting the rear wheels, removing them, then letting me do a bit of work for ten minutes?", and that was it.

Actually I was referring to the guards themselves. Removing the tire would be worth it if they make something very small and not so easily noticed sticking out of the fender well. How to mount it would also be a question.
I am also considering just tape to wrap on the fender edge. but something just strutting out a wee bit would help behind the guard better.

Yes, I got what you meant. I was talking about the guards themselves, too. :)
The shape of the Mustang's rear fender makes it quite difficult to attach mud guards (behind the rear wheel well liner there's an empty space, nothing to attach anything to). The RokBlokz manage to work around this issue very neatly, using a pretty ingenious solution. It's a really solid design.
But the tight space makes it pretty hard, if not impossible, to install them with the wheels in place.

I just took off all the wheels to clean them and the wells. That's no problem. There should be a clear plastic that is less noticeable

I love the Rokblokz. I had red ones, but switched to black ones. They help keep mud and dirty water splashes, too. As others have said, they are not discrete, but not weird looking.

They look better black than the red for sure. But not digging the black with my white car.

I'm considering painting over the bright white ROKBLOKZ lettering on the hardware. It's obnoxious and stands out way too much.

Still have the red ones? Be interested in selling them?

Rokblokz +2...

The RokBlokz have been absolutely legit on my car and I have zero complaints. I didn’t even PPF the hind quarters cause I did my research and found out the RokBlokz provide enough guard.

If you look at the GT500, the factory rock blockers they have only stick out a little. The RokBlokz are comparable in protection without the expense.

My RokBlokz were $50 (fronts only) and you can simply paint over the metal washers if you don’t want to see the white script on them.

Easy install on the fronts... I would assume the rears may be a little more cumbersome but probably doable with a shallow right-angle Phillips driver.

Look, some guys will come on here and bash RokBlokz... some would bash a Pete Brock design... what matters is your money, your effort and your car. If you want specifics, PM me, but I can tell you that on HEPR #178, I won’t be using anything other than the RokBlokz.

Man I love the logo on the screw head things. Much better than having it stamped in the actual rock guards. Gotta get that brand name out there.

I do have them still. I might be interested. But, I was thinking I might hang on to them just in case I want to go bolder. But, I'll let you know soon.

Be careful with the "snap on" guards. They're not expensive, they work, but they're prone to flying off. I've tried to crimp them, but after losing 3 , always from the rear wheels, I just siliconed them in place. A little dab'll do ya.
