Reverse Issue - Manual

Hey everyone,

Today, when I went into reverse, the car would go in gear and reverse, but every other indication was that it was not. The backup camera didn’t come on, the lights didn’t come on, and the dash gear indicator remained N for Neutral.

Has anyone else had this issue?

If it’s under warranty take it to the dealer and see if the can replicate it. I’ve never experienced that on my M6.

Hey I m confused. This is under the Mach 1 section, do you have a gT350?

I got a recall notice from Ford about such an issue. Mine is a GT so this may not apply to GT350, check your VIN with NHTSA to see.

I did, sold it. This is indeed on a 2022 Mach 1 manual.

I haven't experienced this issue. I hope they can sort it out or just goes away.

Mine does this sometimes after it sits for a long while and is cold. Trying to engage reverse a few seconds after the 1st start, the shifter seems like it wants to bind a little. Really mashing the clutch pedal hard and moving the shifter around through the gears helps is "sync" up and then all is well. May be to an issue with temps.

For the OP I think if this is a one time thing its not a big deal. Its software glitch that happens just like a PC freezing.

For the reverse engagement I have noticed if I put in 2nd gear then reverse it works better at times. Also per the manual if reverse wont go in then follow this:
