I was thinking of getting rid of the resonator, and adding an H-pipe, or may an X-pipe. For 2 reasons. More low end torque, and lower weight.
That said, is there a way to decrease the sound of the exhaust to make it similar to the stock sound without the resonator?
One thought I had, would be to wrap the length of the exhaust from cats back with thermal wrap to dampen vibration, and possibly lower the noise.
But, does thermal wrap also lower the volume of the exhaust?
Has anyone tried this?
