deleting the resonator should have been my first mod, crazy difference. 5th gear at 70 before took forever to pass some one, now 5th gear 70mph, i have ummf, now some one might say something stupid like you give me a dyno but i would place money on it that it is hands down best/cheapest mod to do to a 15' stang.

I replaced mine with the MRT Stainless h-Pipe. Primarily for sound. the car was just too quiet from the factory. Its about 15-20% louder with ZERO drone. This is the way the car should have come from the factory. If I picked up any HP, I could not tell.

I logged on immediately so you know I care lol, but deleting the resonator yields serious HP gains for the $$$. Butt dyno says 10-15. Ford told me that the X-pipe yields 90% gains compared to a full racing catback. meaning for $200 you get 90% of the power as a $1500 system. You will not regret this purchase if you want power and mpg increase, sound yeah whatever its a little louder, im a function over everything kind of guy, money to HP guy too so my opinion might differ than other Gearheads

Summit has X or H pipes for 135.00 for aluminized steel or 175.00 for stainless. Free shipping. No drone. Can't say about the power only drove 15 miles, just installed today after work. But sounds good not super loud.

So did you get an H or X? What other specific exhaust mods do you already have along with the mid pipe change? Part numbers of mufflers or brand and name of axle backs helps us know what 'got no drone'.

And you mean zero drone, not just that the drone you got you do not mind, right? The term no drone is not to used casually... LOL :D

I got the x pipe. Other than that the is completely stock. 60 mph you can't tell any difference from OEM. So I would say "no drone" you only know you changed it above 2500-3000 rpm. The part is actually summits own SUM 642140. I just got my car so first mod for it.

Weight savings alone is worth it.

Some people will argue that the oem exhaust and the resonator is not restricted, but most of the dyno results i ve seen shows otherwise.

The oem exhaust is also really heavy, even if you delete the resonator you will still have 10 more lbs to shave from the existing tubing. The best solution is a complete free flow light weight catback system.

I won't say its a huge power gainer, but it does give the car a nice tone without introducing any drone. Its a very mild sound but sounds really good if you want something mild.
