IM JK, every owner does this at least once in their cars lifetime and every owner then needs to be reassured that their baby will be ok, so im here to tell you she is just fine.
Its either catastrophic or nothing at all.
If you live in Texas or Florida, or really anywhere where you sit in 100 degree bumper to bumper traffic, you will, WILL, need this upgrade eventually. The stock rubber overtime in these conditions will actually keep you from shifting out or into gears while you are in the bumper to bumper...
OEM claims that it should be 98 lbs + another 1/8th of a turn. Google calculators for this ranges 220-300 ft lbs of TQ. So I am pretty sure I fall into that realm.
It does not have a number, because I dont have tq wrench that goes that high and i could not get a good reference, I saw numbers from 80 lbs to 330 lbs. I saw previous 5.0's were in the 200's so I tried the Ford Racing Half shaft upgraded number (they use a 36m bolt not 32mm) and noise was...
I had a creaking noise/ or clicking noise depending on how you describe the sensation/audio coming from the rear end of my car. It only did this at take off or slow downs at speeds under 20 mph or so. So daily driving it was never really noticeable until traffic, in traffic I'd hear it 24/7...
Ive done 164 mph as well. Verified. 3.31's in 5fth gear, 7500 rpms could get you 186 mph so do me that would be the max,
BUT HOLY SHIIITE! someone went 175??? I went 198mph in an 09 Z06 and it felt relatively safeish...but 164 in my baby, actually scared me a little bit. You must...
I have bolted and unbolted my subframe 10+ times and rushed the last time i did my whole suspension overhaul, installed the ford racing track pack, and while rushing cross threaded it, super easy fix, 14mm2.0 tap and a 3/8 inch extension turned around then a 7/16 wrench to tq the extension/tap...
If someone knows how to delete a thread please tell me, I found the answer in this thread for those who also want to know http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53350&highlight=subframe+bolt
To me after solving the wheel hop I looked less into the bearing but now I beleive it is for cornering stability. And with these new toe links and roll bar in the rear i dont know how much it is really worth it. I have not autocrossed yet this car, but I promise you ive hooned the hell out of...
Im sorry for some reason my email wasnt linked to my own thread,
This package makes the car a better DD in everyway, potholes, speedbumps, crappy roads all feel much better the car is much more composed. My SO likes this better than before she says it feels slower straight line and thats...
I have a BMR and Steeda modded rear end that has no hop, GT PREMIUM.
Drove great and is an amazingly handling car as it was. But as all owners want, I wanted more, thus I began asking friends and this forum and researching the most fun upgrades, and for me and my wallet suspension was the...
it really is hard to prove its worth it with any sort of metric, and i guess its also hard to trust some random guy in Houston youve never met lol, so i figured hey ill just post what i felt.
Had a coupon for $50 so i used it to buy the Airraid Throttle body spacer, after coupon it was like $60.
I give no shits what anyone says about at all, in my experience it worked for me, if someone asked me if it was worth it for the $$$ I would say yes. I know with absolute certainly at hwy...
Sorry for the slow reply. Studying for the CPA. keeps me busy. I was watching videos of cars with much less power than mine run super quick 1/4 miles. So I learned about HP and acceleration. Summed up our GT is heavily limited by grip. On slicks a PP Stang should win. But in real life...
My effective gear ratio was 3.19 compared to anyone with a PP because I run 275/35/20. This makes me way quicker than my buddies pp from a dig. He wastes by guesstimate 20%+ of his power by spinning. I spin either 0 or barely enough for a chirp.
