Has anyone priced a new set of tires for the GT350/R? Just curious because it will probably be my first large purchase for this car.

My bigger concern is the lack of any tire choices in the sizes Ford equips the car with.

No, they're usually around 350/tire in those sizes. Pricing is spot on for sport cup 2s though, if not a bit mofe
That's from tire rack, obviously you can probably find cheaper. I don't really care.

Pilot Super Sports are $412/419 per tire.
Tire weight is also really important. Tire Rack is one of the few places that lists tire weights. The Michelins are likely some of the lightest that are true streetable tires.

I considered the possibility of PSSs for a street-going R model...but they do not have the OE size available for the rear.

I work for a major tire company(Continental) and I'm hoping they come out with compatible sizes so I can get a decent deal. Might have to change up the sizes a bit to get something that works.

Make it happen! We need more choices in the OEM sizes.

In all honesty, if you're considering any other road tire other than the two Michelins the cars already come with, you're going to be disappointed...

They are without a doubt THE best street tires money can buy and if you can afford a $50K+ car, you shouldn't have any issues buying tires for it.

I used to follow the Z06 forum before I decided on this car, and I can tell you that when they ran into problems looking for tires, finding the michelins in stock became the biggest problem, not the price. So looking for alternatives is not a terrible idea.

Sorry guys can't go out, the only manufacturer of tires that fits my car are on back-order for 6 months. :ford:
