  1. 2016 Shelby GT350/GT350R Media Drives & Reviews (CHECK FIRST POST)

Very fake. Clickbait news posing as C&D. I'm expecting 120-122mph traps.
  2. 2016 Shelby GT350/GT350R Media Drives & Reviews (CHECK FIRST POST)

The ATS-V doesn't trap 122mph either, more like 115; C&D is the only mag that ran that kind of trap, everyone had it in the mid 1-teens. Maybe it's a legit C&D time and it's calibration is 5-7mph off lol
  3. 2016 Shelby GT350/GT350R Media Drives & Reviews (CHECK FIRST POST)

Has to be fake. Car would need to be in the 550whp range to put out that kind of trap. I'd expect skidpad numbers to be in the 1.1-1.2g as well. At least for the R
  4. So this is why Ford has been sitting on th GT350

^^^ That's what I thought. About 5k over a Mustang. With a GM interior lol
  5. So this is why Ford has been sitting on th GT350

    I think it's $37k. Unless I read it wrong.
  6. So this is why Ford has been sitting on th GT350

Considering it's priced about 5k higher starting price, not really. SS is kind of a halfway point between the GT and GT350. Maybe the Mach 1 if it comes out? I find it laughable that GM thinks they can charge almost 40k for a base model V8 car lol.
  7. Tires for the 350R are up on Tirerack

Indeed. The TE37SL clears a 380mm aftermarket Brembo rotor + 6pot caliper (and will clear the 8pot varieties out there too). Highly likely it sticks out just as far as an oem-spec 390mm. Besides the TE37SL is available in 19" as well and gains maybe 1lb of weight from it. Not sure why you're...
  8. Tires for the 350R are up on Tirerack

That's a rotor size. Not the caliper
  9. Tires for the 350R are up on Tirerack

Weight. Not to sound like a broken record but my 18x11 TE37SLs are 18.5lbs a piece. Bought a set for $3500
  10. Tires for the 350R are up on Tirerack

I bet my TE37SLs would clear. They clear the 380mm Brembos on M3s *shrug*
  11. Tires for the 350R are up on Tirerack

You can still pick up a decent 200TW tire that will do decent in the rain. PSS really isn't enough tire for the car. They do great as all-weather performance tires, but seriously vs the 200TW tires out there they don't grip nearly as well. I would just get a new set of wheels in 18" for daily...
  12. GT350R VS Tuned GT PP

My TE37SLs were 3500. Pretty much the very definition of high-quality, lightweight, and forged. Tires will cost you more, no way around that.
  13. How the GT350 Voodoo REALLY stacks up against the competition

Damn Sticky making headlines on other car forums :) Nice job dude
  14. 8000RPM ok 7700RPM

To settle it: you don't shift at power peak. You shift at the point where you will maintain the highest average power. In the graph on page 1, shifting before 7000rpms will net a decrease in acceleration. Just because power is dying off from peak does not mean up shifting is the best idea. This...
  15. Replacement tire costs?

No, they're usually around 350/tire in those sizes. Pricing is spot on for sport cup 2s though, if not a bit mofe
  16. Am I to understand.....

I wonder how many of the people complaining about no warranty coverage for actual racing have actually done or know what a HPDE is?
  17. Am I to understand.....

    Or their track insurance.

They mean faster on the track. The tires are on the R are significantly better than the PSS on the base model car. PSS tires are good for street cars but will not hold their own against a basic auto-X tire much less a more track-oriented compound like the Sport Cups.

We still haven't seen the big dogs yet. I think Ford may be letting them do their own testing (which I'd honestly rather see vs Ford sharing their own metrics). Independent testing is always better as many Hellcat owners still running high 11s or C7Z06 owners heatsoaking on lap 2 can attest ;)

Is he getting air on the inner front tire? LOL
