Bit ashamed to admit I just learned today that there is a trunk release right above the rear license plate! Little neighbor boy has an obsession with his dad's and just happens to be the right height. Walked right up to it and popped the trunk!
Well back to the dealer for me. Looks like I have an oil leak on one of the lines going into the casting near the oil filter. Not sure if it's a bad seal or just not "tight".
Only noticed when I had the car in the driveway, the slight angle allowed the oil to run off the back of the belly...
I got my kit and did an oil change with it this weekend. Worked just fine for me with a socket. I do drive my car up on to some race ramps so I have some extra clearance underneath to do the change. But I didn't have any issues with clearance or even getting a long torque wrench to install...
Great warm weather here today so I drove the car to work. Ran fine the whole time but I did notice the battery voltage showing around 13.5. Didn't think much of it and went to work. On my way home I paid much more attention and it was still low. At times when at idle at stop lights it would...
The insulation getting torn up is a bit confusing and may help to determine what's going on. Can you see if anything in that corresponding area of the engine bay is "loose" Perhaps a hose or something that may be spraying or fogging the engine bay when you drive?
If anyone is interetesed in a open '17 allocation, I do know of a dealership that is still waiting to sell. I think right now the price is $1k over MSRP (basically covering the cost they paid to be able to order the car). Nothing in it for me. Just send me a PM and I'll pass on the info.
Make sure you bluetooth is on, then go to settings and click on the little blue circle i for SYNC.
Then make sure you enable notifications.
You should now get messages to show up.
Agree with the rest, its really in the hands of the installer. I have Suntek and from 2 ft away you can't even tell there is anything on the car...edges blend right in.
It was this morning Ruben, sorry I didn't get to meet you. You helped me get my 350!
Did see GT Dave's car and a black no stripe car but that was it...funny when this car is more rare then some Lambos or Ferraris!
I'll second the fact that the oil comes out FAST. Be ready with a decent sized pan and anticipate that it will arc about 7-8 inches from the back of the pan.
