Gt350 is a real lemon. Every single owner trying to get rid of it.
Yep, every gt350 owner is getting rid of their cars, its a real lemon and not worth anything. Why do you never have anything positive to say about anything?

Drove by one of our local churches the other day, and on their marquee they had a nice little quote:

"If you can't be nice, try being quiet"

I'm not a church goer, but if I ever do decide to visit, that'd be the one. They always have great little sayings out front.

Took my 2017R to dealer today at 3070 miles. Checked oil when purchased and again every 350 miles or so. Car is running great but eating oil. No oil consumption till around 1350 miles. Put in 4 quarts between 1350 and 2437 miles. Changed oil at dealer at 2437. Put in 4 quarts since and took it in today.
Had a 2017 350 that used one quart in 5500 miles (changed oil at 1000) and i did track that car one time. Never tracked the R.
Been following this site for a while although i rarely post, seems like 1 out of every thousand or so fail. My car may have an oil leak for all i know but i do not have any oil in garage.
My thoughts:
1 in a thousand is acceptable. If motors are hand built, this is a great percentage.
If my motor is bad i'm replacing and keeping car, love this car.

That seems very excessive. 1 qt per ~ 250 miles before you took it in for an oil change? What did they say at that time? I thought the official position is up to 1 qt per 500 miles is "normal".

Anywho, curious to what they say. My consumption seems to be increasing as well. Hardly anything the first 2500 miles or so, seems to be more like 1 qt/1000 miles the last 1000 or so (now at 5600 miles).

This is what mine did, hardly any consumption til around 6k miles, then the miles per quart started dropping rapidly.

I read back that your dealer did an oil consumption test? How much consumption did you see before they did their testing? And how do they test consumption? Hope you get your back soon!

They changed the oil and had me drive 500 miles, it was down over a quart so they called ford. New long block was the verdict. Apparently my dealer decided today they in fact are capable of doing the job(at first was told they aren’t comfy doing it)...so i got the car back and am waiting for them to let me know when this motor arrives.

My guess is they wanted it back in my possession so i couldn’t lemon it.

Got approval for a new longblock from Ford. Ford customer service manager said dealership found high amount of metal in the oil.... Who would have thought that if you hear loud knocking from engine that you will find metal in oil. They didn't tell me what exactly went wrong but glad they are replacing the whole engine. I also told my Ford CSM that they should at minimum flush out oil cooler before putting in new engine, to which she said they will look into that.

I heard this from a fellow 350 owner at Cars & Coffee last month. When he was in Utah at the Track Attack last month, one of the driving instructors told him that none of the cars used there had experienced a total engine failure. Those cars are swapped out twice a year, but with the beating they take, one would expect one or two at least. And the only modification they do on them is racing lugs due to constant brake pad replacement. This is second hand info, so don't go all Trump on me!

I asked the same question a few weeks ago at the Track Attack event. I was told maybe one engine failure since they started the program but the instructor did not have any details. My car was an early 2016 with 7500 tracked miles on the clock. I expect the engine question is asked every week but since they seem to rotate instructors, we may never know the true story. Having blown an engine myself, I suspect the OPG is the weak link.

One thing I did notice about the car I was driving was the engine oil pressure at idle was 25 psi which is much lower than mine which runs 50 psi when hot, but I have fewer miles.

Thing is I could mildly understand failures at the Track Attack events. With some of the sounds I heard during the heel toe exercise I was sure I would witness a failure right there. I know some of those cars had to be close to over revving. On the oil pressure, I actually saw oil pressure a tad below 25 psi at idle in the car I was driving.
