All of them
That car is light. Thats why its that fast.

It has comp cams that I am not able to disclose, and everything you can possibly do to them without pulling heads off. Stock lonblock with changed out cams.

DA on 135 pass was about 1850'

It went 132.09 in 1800' DA without cams - just a "bolt-on" combo (CJ, headers etc)

Uh, these guys are morons
Huh? Flores knows his shit. He's a no BS kinda guy that tells it like it is. Point being is that anyone who thinks a 18 manifold makes the same top end as a CJ are dreamers.

He apparently does not know his stuff very well. The car had LT headers added along with the CJ and a new TB and CAI, yet this guy is trying to claim all of the 30 rwhp gain is from the Cobra Jet. He says right in the video the gains are from the CJ, and dismisses any gains from the LTs. In reality, they changed the entire intake train (CAI, TB, manifold), and added LT headers and achieved a ~30 rwhp gain after an updated tune. For him to act like the CJ is responsible for most (or all, as he states) of that gain is dumb. I'm not claiming the '18 intake manifold makes as much top end as the CJ. I said the small bump in power is not worth the hassle for many people, unless they are scraping for every last hp, or have aftermarket cams that are designed to run to high rpms to really take advantage of that high rpm breathing capability of the CJ.

Nice, that's really moving.

I've been tuned for a while by PBD and while I love it, I'm definitely wanting some more power. I prefer track driving and country roads so I'm aiming to make a Sleeper car. No badges etc.

Aside from a CAI swap, I'm bone stock. Running 93oct as well.

Originally, I wanted to go E85 and swap out injectors, but there isn't a lot of E85 options around me.

I was thinking of doing a Manifold/Throttle Body swap and then a seat delete to free up some weight.

What else are you guys doing to get some better HP and Torque?
Sounds like we have similar interests in driving some track driving & country roads. That sounds like spirited cruising, not a serious 1/4 mile drag race. Is CJ manifold the ultimate option for every N/A modded mustang driver out there?
I’m ready to install Ford Performance Pack 3 (all that’s included) w Lund tune. I just cruise w the wife for fun, a bit more wild if it’s just myself & Winston. Checked into the CJ manifold, love it’s looks & hp gains but couldn’t find a complete build (sheet, list of parts, etc.) to correctly install on a 2016 GT. Quite a bit on the pricey side as well, but good hp isn’t cheap.

Why Get the performance pack 3 and then pay for a lund tune? I thought the power packs were for maintaining factory warranty but then getting a lund tune will void said warranty.

Anyone ever run a gen 2 performance pack 3 down the strip? I can't find much on it

That cobra jet paired with an a10 would be a monster. it's pretty much perfect at WOT. It would stomp all over a ported '18

Cobra Jet, A10, 8k shift points. Win

Many bad reviews on the Ford Performance (No lift Shift) that is in the tune. Plus many great reviews about Lund Racing tunes. Went w an nguage tuner for the interactive goodies. If that makes sense..lol.

No lift shift? Like a WOT box built into the tune?

I'm with you on the video. I generally respect what he has to say but to discount the LTH and other mod gains as negligible sure didn't sell his case to me. In the end, I believe what he says is correct...that the CJ is King Daddy but its AVG horsepower is where it shines vs. other intakes, not peak.

VMP manifold shootout results. How reliable I’m not sure.

This graph shows why CJ is king. Look at the green line from 6500 to 7500. CJ has more average horsepower in that range...

Yeah, that's a good graph showing the top end and that does show why a CJ car would be quicker than an '18 ported even with the same peak hp (due to the higher avg hp). It sort of proves both our points: Ported '18 and CJ have the same peak hp in this case, but the CJ gets there sooner and holds it flat for a long time (making it a quicker car, even with no peak hp gain). No doubt that will be a quicker car. Ported '18 is a good compromise for the cost IMO. Outperforms all others (not counting the truck intake) until ~6100 rpm, then catches up to the CJ from 6900-7300, before falling off after that.
