I think you meant the other way around. Side airbags in all cars regardless of the seat choice. No side airbags in all cars regardless of the seat choice. Safety before weight.

Lmao. Goes from a properly informative response to a sarcastic snark thanks to punctuation. Touche, COMMAS are helpful when used properly...or in this case at all.
So I ordered recaros without sitting in them. I would not be swayed to purchase otherwise if only for the look, but would like some clarification on how the height is adjusted. I know it is not power, but a guy at the dealership said it was like a lever you pump???
I will be using the height adjustment for sure more than once. My wife is 5'4" and I'm 6'1" and we will both drive it.
+100The 14 seats are like barstools compared to the new premium premier seats.
If they are anything like the previous Recaros, and I expect them to be pretty much identical, the drivers seat has a height adjustment (which you pump up or down with a lever), but the passenger seat does not.So I ordered recaros without sitting in them. I have to say that I think that looks great. That is the PP dash, right?(Cough) Redline Recaros (cough) FTW
Yes sir that is the PP dash.I have to say that I think that looks great. That is the PP dash, right?
dude,I just got back from test driving a black EB premium (6AT, no PP). I am definitely getting Recaros after having had some seat time and perspective.
The stock premium seats are nicely shaped and the material is okay to the touch, but not as soft or smooth as I was expecting. The bolstering forms a very nice cup around your lumbar, and the support air bladder has a nice range of depth, although you cannot adjust that bladder's height. The bolstering is too soft for me. It's very squishy, and as one owner mentioned, it does feel like vinyl.
For as neat as the cooling function was, I only used it for the first couple of minutes, got too cold at full blast, lowered it to the level 1 setting, then ultimately turned it off. I can safely disregard this feature for the added bolstering/stiffness for the Recaros without any kind of regret.
I'm pretty relieved after having read so much saying otherwise, I just don't see how people can say that there isn't a difference between the levels of support that these seats offer.
Edit: attached photo from test drive.
Great, thanks!Yes sir that is the PP dash.
Hey man I drove a solid 30 minutes to go see these bad boys! Ha, I'm sadly familiar with the foot smashed into the dead pedal to compensate thing. I think you'll be fine with the premier seats. Most people will be. But I do think that their looks are deceiving and the level of support they offer does not match their deep shells.dude,
you are killing me..
i have not seen one yet, but you have driven one.. suggesting that the recaro is the way to go. i had decided if i go mustang to enjoy the premier with the cooling zest!
btw, if you track the dead pedal goes a long way. knee bumpers, not far behind..
beers
Thanks for the contrasting opinion, Oppo. More evidence that everyone needs to sit in them first. I'd be sore losing all that functionality AND paying an extra 1500 bucks, but if the seats were a significant difference in comfort, I'd probably get over it.I just got back from test driving a black EB premium (6AT, no PP).
