No need to feel bad. Its a simple (free) fix, just bring it in for a few hours and its all done! plus they wash it for me:)
which means swirls in your paint usually... I'm going to check the underside this weekend to see what I find. My concern is the after market catback being in the way.

Question about 'cut-off' date on EB recall... My EB was built on 12 Feb, a couple days after the last date mentioned in the recall. It was held for more than six weeks after that, without any explanation, along with 4,000 other Mustangs, which I now assume were mainly EBs. My Ford account states that my convertible does NOT have any recalls listed. 'Earlier' EB owners seem to have the recall listed on their accounts.
Has anyone noticed a difference in the underbody of Feb 10+ EBs versus pre-Feb 10 models? Did my EB get the necessary fixes mentioned in the recall while still at Flat Rock? The extra heat shielding should be noticeable, if so.

LOL yes i wouldn't let the dealership wash my car when it came in due to rail dust. I prefer to wash it my self then get swirl marks.

Some here are so anal about who washes their cars. How bad do you think the dealership will do in a simple wash? This isn't a Rolls Royce.
What do you do? Get down there with a magnifying glass and look for swirls? The dealership is not detailing your car.
I would trust my dealership a lot more than joe shmoes car wash any day. After all....They are looking for repeat customers
Handwash only? Give me a break. If it makes you feel better, bless you my friend. Please don't start with this "water is full of gritty contaminants". NOT at your dealer it isn.t. And not at a reputable car wash.

Enjoy your Mustang, and don't worry so much that you might get a scratch, ding, swirl, etc. Because it IS going to happen eventually.

EXACTLY!! I'd rather enjoy my car and not stress out over every little thing.

On this recall, I must ask those "in the know", does this recall apply to Lincoln MkC 2.3L EB cars also. I realize it's a detuned EB compared to the Mustang EB, but aren't they the same block? The only reason I ask is that I have a friend with the Lincoln MKC with that engine. Thanks.

You're correct that it is essentially a detuned version. However, this recall relates more to body and vehicle issues. Fuel lines, thermal insulation, and brake lines. They will be placed differently between the two vehicles, especially since the mkc engine is mounted east-west while the mustang is north-south.

Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles built Feb. 14, 2014 to Feb. 10, 2015 at Flat Rock Assembly Plant.
Were they building 2015 Mustangs way back in Feb of 2014?

I will tell you what this recall feels like. You marry your wife and after a few you discover stuff that makes you feel sick
What I want to know is do I have to rush to get this fixed or can it wait till the car is due for a service?

I don't believe you can bring it in to be fixed yet. The status shows "Status: 12 - RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE".

I've never done a Ford recall before. So do we have to wait till we get something in the mail before we can take the car in?
