Hey Guys,
I would first check your wiring from below the deck and up into the rear trunk lid for no breaks in the lines. If its happening on occasion then it's more the camera then the wiring. There is one zip tie that I cut to release the pinch point. Once you confirm that all wiring is still good just order the replacement camera. I ordered through Lakeland Ford FL and it showed up in about five days. Recall replacement part (FR3Z-19G490-A) I replaced the camera which is held in by two 5mm screws. Once in, fire up Forscan to do a camera calibration to get your back up lines back. Whole process took less than 30 minutes. The camera was $50 bucks total and it kept a technician out of your car which they can do more damage then good. I'd rather mess something up than have them do more damage to my car.
Been fix currently for about a month and no issues. I never had the blurry screen every time but on occasions and then it would throw a DTC in Forscan when it showed scrambled and poor image. I get that it's a recall but one that I could handle on my own. Since it was only $50 it was worth it to me. Had the wiring been damaged then that would have been a different story and would have sent me to a dealership.
Just my two cents
