Rear Window "Mis-Alignment"

I walked by 3 10+ camaros and 2 new challengers in the parking lot at work today. All 3 camaros had trunk gap inconsistencies, 2 had noticeable misaligned front driver fenders, one had a weird fitment like the back glass here. Both challengers had trunk misaligned and one had a door with inconsistent gaps.

The biggest problem with the mustang qc issues is that it's been brought to many people's attention. Most wouldn't notice if they hadn't read it here.

Go take an honest look at cars in the same price range.

I am a realist and accept that shit happens on first year production cars like ours. It's a risk you take when you buy a first year production car.

I see this excuse all the time. Just because this is a first year production car doesn't mean that they are not able to put a car together correctly. Changes to electronics or new engine technology I can see. But body panels???? They have been assembling automobiles for quite a while now. I would think they would know by now how to do it correctly so that things line up the way they should. This is not a first year issue. This a a bad quality control issue, period.

Lol. No doubt if there's no accountability then quality suffers. I submit DMV and federal government as examples.

I care about my car very much and cars are a passion of mine. At the same time I am a realist and accept that shit happens on first year production cars like ours. It's a risk you take when you buy a first year production car.

I don't in fact have a lot of money and have earned every penny used to pay for my car.

Check the original panel issue posts and you can see a couple of pictures from my car. If the CSM is calling me at home and offering full assistance to get my issues fixed, you don't think my issues aren't that big? And I do not care if there are Camaro, Challenger or Journeys out on lots with the same issues. Companies are always pointing out that they are proud. Of what? That North Americans can get for wheels on a car they don't fall off? I am not happy with the poor work they run at Flat Rock/MI. They have known that this model is a 50th anniversary model. You would think FORD would pay more attention to the quality what they do. Maybe it is time after 100 years that North American companies running the factories with the metric system to weld a car proper together. Saying that a drop of a window edge on a Mustang of 3/5" would be fine is not acceptable in the 21st century. Not at all if it isn't the window but the cars left quarter panel itself!

I've got it, and it bugs me a little bit. Then I drive the car and completely forget it's there.

It's not obvious in the photo below but from the fender I can plainly see a depression in the OEM glass that makes the tilt angle look worse. S550s that look straighter seem to be missing this flaw in the glass.

My huge problem with that flaw is people noticed it, & these come from non-Mustang folk.

It wasn't as glaring (missed it during my inspection at the lot) until I saw it after I tinted my windows. I tried to forget about it but that clearly did not work. I took the chance and had my dealer fix it. Best move for me.

The stamping on mine was fine, confirmed by my dealer adhesive on that side was lacking. As for leaks, not fixing it would have yielded issues later on in life due to lack of proper adhesive.

I'll be getting my rear window fixed in a week as well. Would have been done sooner but the dealer thought I wanted to leave my car with them for the weekend :headbonk:

But I put my exhaust back on my car and now I'm happy I'll be even more happy when they fix my window and I put in my tint.

I have the variation tilt on my rear window as well. It was built in January. It will be left as is. Passenger side slightly higher corner.
