I have never seen any spots in my rear window glass. I have seen this in other cars over the years however, and it seems the spots show up in certain light, like right before dark in twilight conditions.

This is normal. Nothing you can do about it. This is due to polarization. If you wear polarized sunglasses while looking through a polarized window, you'll see the effect even more.

If you wear polarized sun glasses you'll even see it out your side windows. Unfortunately it's pretty normal in most cars these days.

That seems normal. It's the tempering process which the glass floats on molten metal with heaters submerged. The spots are caused by uneven temperature between the heater coils after tempering.
It get's worse when you wear polarized glasses.
Just bought some polarised sunglasses mate, you're right, it looks 2 million times worse.
Awful.
All the best mate.

It's the safety layer on the glass, it's like tint but it also bends light. It's normal, and something you'll have to get use to.

My BMW had the same thing in the rear glass, predominantly seen while wearing polarized glasses. Easy fix = Tint windows.

I would not complain about that at that at all. I would like it if my rear window wasn't crooked and looked correct like yours does.:frusty: That would make me really happy.
