I'm getting some clunking noise when driving slowly forward or reverse, probably < 15 mph. It's most common when pulling in and out of my garage. It goes away when I get up to a normal speed. Also, sometimes it goes away for days or a week at a time, then returns. Had this problem for about the last 2000 miles. I was almost certain it was the wheel bearing/thrust washer after pouring through threads on here. Changed these last weekend and retorqued the camber links and the clunk still persists. Any ideas what it could be?

Suspension parts I had a shop install about 4000 miles ago are ISC N1 coilovers (lowered 1.5"), BMR lockout kit CB005 with J&M subframe alignment kit, BMR adjustable camber links UCA762, Ford Performance sway bars, Ford Performance Pack Toe Links.

Have you checked the rear diff? There’s been quite a few reports on here that the factory diff bolts are known for breaking within the bushings.

Also check your rear shocks and shock mounts. A few years back there was some threads about the mounts breaking due to some aftermarket shock brands.

What CJ said, plus check to see if the mechanic installed the anti-roll (sway) bar properly. The guy who did mine neglected to put the positioning clamps on, which allowed the bar to slide to the side. The result was a clunking sound from the end link hitting the frame over small bumps (e,g, pulling out of the driveway).

Also look for broken/missing/loose muffler hangers.

Check in the wheel well in the boot for loose objects. I had a clunk that turned out to be a loose wheel brace!

Did you clock the bushings when you lowered it?

Shock mounts are good. Have not checked the rear diff but will definitely look into it.

That sounds exactly like my problem, but as far as I'm aware they were installed correctly, but I'll double check that.

Which bushings would need to be clocked? I don't remember if they were or not.
To be honest I'm not sure. I'm still factory height but I've seen other threads pop up over the years having similar noises after lowering their cars due to this not being done. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in.

Update:
I jacked up the car last night with someone who works on suspension a lot and he said the lower control arm bushings were worn, but the noise was coming from worn OEM sway bar end links. He showed me he could wiggle it with his fingers and recreate the clunk. Will be ordering some end links. Looking at Whiteline links. Anyone got recommendations for good quality links?
