Hey!
Winter is here and so start the mods!

Starting with New camber arms (before lowering).
Outer screw caused no troubles then comes the inner bolt.
It's just not moving. At all.

Hammering it made it out from 1mm but it's clearly not turning. All rusted I guess (pic attached)

Any hints to get this bolt out?

The ears of the mount are spread a little bit and that's pinching the bolt in there. You need to put a small clamp on the outer portion of the mounting ears to get them back parallel and then you should be able to tap or thread the bolt out.

Was able to unlock the bolt using a 15mm socket, a rotating adapter, an extension, and a breaking bar....

After a lot of swearing, it's finally out!
Hopefully I have New bolts/nuts...

It doesn't really matter if you're using the same pair of vice grips to put it back in....

(I'm just giving you sh!t. Good luck on the other side.)

The driver side is way worse than the passenger side. Hope the next one goes smoothly!
Sh!t !! That was the passenger side :-D

@TeeLew @WItoTX - any recommendations for tools for tightening that bolt ?

I need to hold one side in position whilst I tighten the other (I have camber bolts / J&M adjusters) and I was thinking of using a pair of long reach ring spanner’s :

Am I heading in the right direction, or would you recommend some other assembly of extensions and swivels etc ?

Cheers,

Exactly it. That's about as good as you're gonna get.

Thank you :like:

I’ve been under there on my back with the wheel on and I think it’s near impossible (standard length ring) - I’m assuming I need to measure with the car on its wheels, lift, remove wheel, adjust and then repeat until correct ?

My adjusters are incremented and if I have done my maths correctly, I know how much it moves per increment. I can also transfer my camber gauge onto the disk to take a reference, and then move it by what was required based on the reading taken with the car on its wheels.

Am I missing any tricks that could speed up the process and / or reduce the amount of adjustment cycles ?

Cheers,

That's pretty much it. Keep track of the amounts of movement on the first side, because it will probably be similar on the other side. You may not need to adjust at all.

@WD Pro, you are on the right track with using the box wrench. In addition, a 1/2” drive ratchet and extension, coupled with an adapter and a long 3/8” extension will make the job go much more smoothly.

When I installed my new rear camber arms, I also installed the supplied bolts from the rear instead of from the front like they came from the factory. This made it much easier to get get the box wrench on the nut to hold it, while torquing it from the rear. I should also add that my replacement bolts were Allen bolts, so I used an Allen socket on the end of the extension.

I think I bought racheting wrenches for that nut/bolt. But it's just a muscle through it situation. Lol, if I did it again, I'd lower the cradle to make a bit more room.

Thanks @WItoTX @TeeLew @NGOT8R :like:

@NGOT8R - My bolts are in the same way as yours, but I need to adjust / hold the rear (to set the camber) and torque the front one.
