Not sure which brands were inferior, but some were breaking in half. Do some very careful research. The other option, which will give you either negative or positive camber is the BMR Camber Lockout Kit. It will ensure that you don’t lose your setting. Steeda offers one too, but it doesn’t lock the camber in place.

I've been running the Steeda camber arms (plus a lot of their other stuff) on my 19 Bullitt for over a year and had no problems with holding alignment...so far.

Good, gotta lot of Steeda stuff, too. But I'm asking about the less expensive bracket kit vs the arms here... Already said I wasn't interested in spending $500, so looking for feedback on the other options out there.

The BMR lockout kit has two positions and the design holds the selected position without the possibility of slipping. Steeda’s has one elongated slot with no locking capability. Notice the adjuster slots on both.

I'm using the Steeda kit. Pain in the ass to adjust while on the car to be honest. In hindsight I'd have chosen the adjustable arms if I was intending to make multiple adjustments. As it is the only future adjustment will include the purchase of adjustable arms.

Both designs would be a PITA to adjust. If one were to choose the BMR lockout brackets, I would suggest the end user e certain whether they want positive or negative camber and install once and be done. The Steeda brackets seem like they would require more effort to adjust.

I just ordered the level two lockout kit. I would have to choose negative or positive camber ? What’s the difference ?

Ideally, you’d want zero rear camber for drag racing, but the lockout isn’t adjustable, so you’ll probably need to chose the positive setting with the BMR Lockout Kit to get you as close to that as possible. It won’t be a perfect dial in with these though. To get perfect, you’d have to pair them with an adjustable rear camber arm.

See post #8 here.

Which would be a wasted, useless purchase, right? Because most camber arms come with the inboard end locked into place anyways. Well, at least the SPC arms do.

Not necessarily. If someone wants to make an adjustment to get you close to a desired setting without having to perform an alignment they could be for useful to them. I don’t know much about what the road race crowd likes to see on rear camber, but they may or may not be useful to them in the negative setting.

They do - but - the lockout can be installed in two different positions moving the bolt left/right vs. subframe and then there is a plastic insert in the inboard mount providing further (discrete - 6 different positions) adjustment. So there is a lot of adjustability in the inboard which in fact you kind of have to get right on these arms (meaning in the ballpark of camber you want) because the outboard mount adjustment is more or less a degree.

So the BMR kit essentially has 2 fixed positions, while Steeda uses slots and a cam bolt. Looks like the J&M kit most closely resembles the Steeda design. Still undecided about this.

Here’s a tip: If you do the BMR lockouts, install the bolts from the rear and use a long Allen socket.with an extension, unless you’re dropping the entire cradle for other work, in which case they’ll be much easier to install.

I love my Godspeed camber arms so much. Best part I ever put on the car.
