It s a normal OEM motor that Ford built. How difficult can it be for them? My Subaru 2020 sat for 5 weeks waiting for a gasket. At least they gave a loaner and made 2 payment for me for lack of having my car. I d guess it s either part related shortage or no tech s available in the shop that can handle it. Either way, I feel your pain. Hang in there. sometimes they won t send it out till it s right, that s your best hope now. Would like to hear about the cars history and symptoms.

I only had car like a month before it started making this noise. all stock. dealer said its not leaving till its right. it seems crazy but i trust them. symptoms were just a rattle, sounded like heat shield between 2-3k rpm. never any performance loss, trans was a little funky but seems ok after they reset it. ford did make one of my payments and were supposed to talk after its repaired to see what they can do. although i prob pissed the lady off thats been dealing w/this.

Good lord
That is putting it mildly... the case manager is unreachable. i dont even know what if anything i can do. i dont think there is anything i can do but wait. the thing that worries me most is the rental is being covered by the now previous dealer so i dont know if new owner will do same or ill be stuck with 3 months of rental fees...

If it's under warranty Ford is paying the bill for the rental.

I've had rattles and a tapping since my first oil change. Dealer only says normal and moves on. My last Ford, I have so many issues with my Turd.

I am at 37k miles now. They asked me where I purchased the car, I told them the name of their competition and said, well you're going to have to pay for diagnosing and troubleshooting. But, mind you, I have lifetime drive train warranty and 7 Y 120k warranty, I am so done with Ford. If I could drop the car without such a big loss I would. Who in their right mind would buy a tapping engine. Don't even get me started on my 1750-3k grinding and the slipping transmission.

whomever holds the warranty needs to be contacted so they can direct you to a shop that will fix it. id say im lucky and my dealer is fixing it but they are in middle of buyout and had my car almost 3 months...

my trans slipped, they reset it and it was ok. mine has the same issues yours does.

I went back to my original dealer and made an appointment for the 21st. Hope to get better results, but not to confident. Maybe a heavy foot in neutral holding 8k rpm will fix it.

I have a two page thesis typed up on the symptoms of the car. It will be taped to the rear view mirror and I requested the technician ride with me so I can at least show them the things I can duplicate.

I believe in good customer service in my profession and gave it when I was a technician. I just wish what I put out in my day would come back to me at least a little. But these days, most are, no code, no problem. I have a dash cam, I can watch real time. I watched them them on my car once. They never even opened the hood.
