Hey all,
I have a 2018 ecoboost and it has developed a rattling noise that sounds like it’s coming from the front passenger side.
It only occurs after speeds of around 60mph and remains from there, it is definitely wind speed related as when I get closer to another car in front. You can hear the noise lessen.
It sounds like a rock banging around or a piece of paper flapping. I removed the rocker panel thinking something was stuck in there but the noise remained.
I also noticed there is a fiber underbelly cover that runs along the passenger side between the front and rear wheels. Would anyone know what this cover is for? I want to remove it but there is an odd fastener on it towards the back. The rest is just head on by metal screws.
I can’t find out what this part is anywhere or what it is for.
Does anyone know?
