Here's a random thought. If you do not like Auto Stop/Start turn it off. Done!
Not every car allows you to. Only per trip on most. Which means you have to hit the button again, and again......

In my wife's 18' Escape I used a thin piece of cardboard wedged next to the button. Problem solved. Her new Volvo has a place to turn it off in the menu. Once & done.

Our pets probably believe housecleaning is some kind of ritual we use to summon our parents.

I know my parrot didn't completely understand cause and effect. If he didn't like someone he would keep saying "goodbye" to them.

The best thing about dogs is you can act like something good happened and they’ll celebrate. They’re always ready to party no matter what!

Weekly cleaning of the car yesterday and drive to work this morning. The windshield has some streaks in it. Anyone else want to burn down an orphanage when this happens?

Always excited! Even when you trick them to getting groomed or seeing the vet. The next time they're still super excited. Got my dog so excited for me to wash the car yesterday. Then he sat there at the window watching me.

Um, no. Ours get all excited when my wife comes home. They jump and bark and on more than one occasion, one will get so excited she pees. We call it happy pee. But I'm not happy about it all. Plus, mu son's French Bulldog, thinks he king shit. Whenever the neighbor dog is out, he runs the fence and jumps at it. He's knocking whole fence panels loose.

But they all like me. Constantly jumping up on the couch with me, licking my hands, trying to get a chip or snack or a piece of whatever.

Sorry, but put me in anti-dog camp.

if you give them attention and excessive loving maybe they'll decide they don't want your affection after all.

I do try to pet them and scratch their bellies (the Havanese will rollover for a belly scratch is just look at her). I'm just not a fan of dogs. But she is, so we'll have dogs. It makes her happy. And the French Bulldog has claimed her. He follows her everywhere. Even if she gets up to go to the restroom, he follows her. The only time they're all excited to see me is first thing in the morning. I put them all out and then feed them when they come in.
