Random credit card question

I am trying to book a massage appointment for my wife as part of her Christmas present. The place requires cc info to hold the reservation. Is there any chance that will something will show up on my cc statement? I'm assuming not, but want to make sure I don't ruin the surprise.

If it is a "hold", then no because there has not been any charges

Also, check with your health insurance. Sometimes can get massage only paying co-pay!

Likely not, but I'd specifically ask if they preauthorize. That would be the only potential issue.
